I think just putting our name in there to get eyes on it but still.

Interesting. I would imagine he's just trying to drum up interest. He has two rings and will be remembered in Super Bowl lore forever. His INT will go down as an iconic play in football history. His motivation now is to get paid and some team will do it, but it won't be us.

Side note: It is interesting that two of the top corners in the NFL are on the trading block. How much would it cost to get Butler as opposed to Sherman?

Only for a proven young 4-3 right DE would I consider trading that 1.

It is understood that Super Bowl Hero wants to be a Dallas Cowboy in 2017
It has been reported that Malcolm Butler is far from impressed by the treatment he has received from the New England Patriots, especially after the team handed newly-signed free agent Stephon Gilmore a massive 5-year $65 million with $40 million guaranteed.
Butler believes that contract should had been his and the lack of respect the Patriots have shown in him – by not offering him a new deal or placing him on the trade table and now he just want out.

Butler has been heavily linked with a move to New Orleans, with the Saints desperately trying to free up cap to make the deal happen. But, it is now understood Butler has told people close to him he wants to become a Dallas Cowboy.

Butler just turned 27-years-old, and his best football is likely still ahead of him and the Cowboys are in desperate need of a cornerback of the calibre of Butler.

So nothing About NE trading for draft pick, and evidently he wants around 10 mil a year, so cowboys wont be calling.

That's my thought. We're not paying that much to him. It's click bait like Richard Sherman trade too. I had to post it for obvious reasons but still lol

I'd do a trade similar to what Cleveland did with Jamie Collins. Trade a 3rd (probably would have to be at least a 2nd) for him and if he walks, you'll likely get that 3rd back with a comp pick.

Probably is, NE is too smart to make a trade like that with us.
