Anyone else pretty excited about this guy? I think Hitch is going to be the backup at all 3 spots. Damiens speed is great and he can lay the wood! Our linebackers have the potential to be a real strength this year. RBs will not have a #cleareyeview

I really like Wilson, hard worker, plays hard. Plus he does have the size and athletic ability to keep pace with most. I think he'll have a good career.

Nzeocha may be the only one that pushes him at sam.

Funny...I was thinking the same thing. Wouldn't shock me to see Wilson and Hitchins on the bench this season. Sure they may get some garbage time...but Nzeocha looked way better @ the SLB

Yes. Seems to have caught up to the speed of the pro game. I think he will be a dynamo at the SAM next season.

Wilson took a big step forward last year and shows a lot of promise to develop into a pretty good SAM linebacker. If Jaylon recovers and plays up to his potential this has the makings of an outstanding unit. Having Hitchens, Nzeocha in the wings is pretty good depth too. I really like Hitchens, plays with high motor, is always around the ball. Really think he is an underrated player who is a very dependable option. Contract year for him and it will be interesting if the Cowboys retain him, or another team offers a lot more money with a defined role as a starter..

Maybe but I don't see it. SAM is more on the line and the prototype has long arms and body. Wilson doesn't have long speed so he really cannot play MIKE or WILL whereas Nzeocha's strength is his range and quickness.

Nzeocha might take Hitchen's role but I fear he would get eaten up taking on blocks inline.

I really liked him last season after the first couple of games. He's got good size, runs well and can tackle.

Problem is that you don't see a lot of play for a SAM backer in today's game.

Jaylon smith isn't starting over Hitchens lol. He'd have to have a magical preseason to do that.

Wilson played some solid football last year. Chances are, he'll do even better this year with a year behind him as a starter. We'll quite possibly draft another candidate anyway, so the depth within that unit should be better than ever. Might it be TJ Watt? Stay tuned for further developments.

I like this kid.
He has been on an upward climb since he gave up that overtime wheel route td his rookie yr in the New Orleans game.
The line backing corp has a chance to be the strength of this years defense

Wilson was starting to play pretty well last year. I can see a big improvement this year. I still wonder what happened to Nzeocha, guess the nagging injuries still held him back.
Between, his injuris, and still always have that concern with Lee getting injured, and still unknown, though "arrow pointing up" as JJ says, Jaylon Smith, still need to see it.

So we still need to draft at least one LB.

But Wilson, I am just fine with.
