Hahaha! Well friend it's a length of piping of various diameter's ( anywhere from 1" to 2" usually, although I've got an old half outlaw black cowboy friend out here in the desert whose got just plain 2" x4" lumber mounted along his 40' bar)
It's set about a 1'-1.5' above the floor and about 10"-12" out from the bar ,,, so while one is bellied up to the bar imbibing, you can plant a foot on top of it,,, believe it or not,I seldom re- frequent establishments lacking this minor fixture as it tells me all I need to know about that place and the persona of management (I've dropped $200+ weekly in bars/drinking establishments for a solid 15 years before I got my C.D.L. back, so I know what I like/works for me,,,your milage may vary)

I'm still suffering on this chip- seal job ,and thanks to the personal @Trouty connection to the big guy above, got jobs lined up till middle of next week,,,but I see a bowl from Chipotle and a bottle of 80 proof schnapps in my afternoon forecast,,, I got a funny story about Pabst blue ribbon beer when we were kids as it was my Father's only brand he drank,,, remind me sometime.
