On the heels of some rough news, this could be big news for the Cowboys, and even bigger news for David Irving.

Irving was a breakout star on Dallas' defensive line last season. He put together a marvelous game against the Buccaneers late in the year, and continued to play well down the stretch. The Cowboys figured he'd be a big part of their front this year, but a four-game suspension has cast some doubt on that.

It appears that Irving has some evidence that could exonerate him, which would be fantastic news for him and the team.

He could've been the victim of a tainted supplement. If that's the case, and he can prove it, it could exonerate him.

I've seen this happen before, not in the NFL, but in MMA/UFC. Long story short- a competitor pissed hot, insisted he only took approved/legal supplements. For his appeal, he purchased several sealed containers of said supplements, had those containers sent to a lab and analyzed and they did indeed find banned ingredients in the supplements that were not stated on the label or ingredients on the package. The competitor was exonerated.

Now, if we can just find out if he went to Mexico and ate tainted beef.

I can't wait for the mystery to be solved.

Hardy har har.

The more likely defense for Irving would probably be along the lines of the tainted supplement scenario I mentioned earlier.
