Cowboys the team to beat in the East?

Until someone proves otherwise, they are the favorites as the defending division champs.
I said it about the other teams in the past so it holds true here also.

Now in the past, like when Washington won by default in 2015, I said it last year, but also said we, Dallas and NY would push and should win the division.
I do not see any team pushing Dallas except NY this year.

No, not until a team can be dominant. Dallas and the Giants, despite records, almost identical teams. Oh if we ignore the Giants swept us. Dallas couldnt pull away and no one can really say they were dominant.

I think that some of this offseason stuff will come back to bite them with there schedule no I don't think they will repeat as division champs I don't think the team is mature enough to handle that

Not dominant? We would've been 14-2 last year had we played the last game to win. Considering that would be the best record in team history, I'd say that's pretty damn dominant.

we went as far as an 11-5 team who swept us. I dont care if you go 16-0, 1 and done in the playoffs for 1 season is not dominant. When i mean dominant i mean the following season teams have got to take you serious. sorry but Garrets track record does not command the word dominant.

The defending division champion usually is the team to beat and is why the other teams get up for that game and don't let that defending champ repeat as champ... at least that's how it works in the NFC East.

its been so weak and bad, i think fans want to see someone dominant emerge and its been a long time coming for the Cowboys. There is less and less excuses each year. Its time for Dallas to put up or shut up.

There are too many variables right now to give a definitive answer. I'd say that it's something along the lines of: Cowboys 1A, Giants 1 B, Eagles, then the Commanders. The Giants beat us twice last season, and only got better this off-season, while we remained pretty stagnant, I anticipate us struggling to beat them again this year.

Yes, in the sense that they won the division last year.
No, in the sense that I think the Giants got better, and we're basically relying on rookies (Taco) and second-year players who might as well be rookies (Tapper, Jaylon) to beef up the pass rush and a totally revamped green secondary (Cheetoh, Jourdan, Heath, Woods) to stop the likes of Odell Beckham, Brandon Marshall, Steve Sheperd, Alshon Jeffries, Terrell Pryor and Julio Jones.

As an optimist, I say the defense matures quickly and is better than last year.
As a realist, I say this defense is going to go through growing pains and will be our weak spot this season.

If we find a pass rush and Zeke doesn't miss games NYG shouldn't be a problem
