That's where I got it, also when you brought up 4 years of KM + 1 injured. It came off to me as saying KM should of been the starter

I see rush making the team but I just do not see him being active in any game. now if we have to play the backup qb for more then three games then maybe I could see rush playing this year. rush is going to need a year to watch and learn his first year since he is an undrafted free agent qb. we are stuck with moore like it or not. moore just knows the offense.

Brad Johnson has a stronger arm than Kelley and its not even close. That's bad. Against the rams they downed it from the 45 at the end of the half because he couldn't get it to the end zone.

Cooper Rush is the only backup QB Dallas really has on the Roster !!! Those other 2 clowns are only backup QB's in the Farm League.
 
It will be sad to see Kellen come in after Dak Saturday. He doesn't deserve to but the coaches on this team don't "realize" things until there are 3 losses doing it the way they "think" it should be done. Rush should be #2, it's clear as Crystal Pepsi....LOL

It was the last game of the regular season and the Skins already had the division title wrapped up. They didn't play any starters. Moore put the ball up 48 times, completing 33 for 435 yards. Dallas still lost, 34-23.

In his two previous starts, vs. the Jets and Bills, Moore put up these numbers:

His arm strength alone is terrible and that's on him.

How did he do anything of note in college with that arm? There is virtually no velocity on his footballs and if it travels more than 10 yards you can bet it is more of a jump ball situation than it is an actual pass to a receiver. The only reason Moore's stats from game 1 were somewhat impressive is because he had guys on the field who could high point the ball; Bryce and Rico.

Context behind those yards is extremely important.

That said, throw out everything he has done previous to now and just base your opinion on what you have seen in 2 games. Can you honestly say you would be comfortable with Moore as the backup going into the season? While I'd hate to put that backup position on a undrafted rookie such as Cooper Rush, if you were tell me to watch the game and tell you of the three quarterbacks that have played, who looks like he has done this before, Cooper would be my answer without hesitation.

Here's what I think is happening, for it is worth. I don't get to watch the practices, but I'm guessing Moore has looked different in training camp versus the actual games and the coaches are trying to figure out how to bring the guy they see in practice out in games...and have yet to figure out. Either way, regardless of the talent we put around him, I honestly don't think we could win anything with Moore behind center. We may lose with Cooper, but I suspect we'd feel a heck of alot better about it, because he at least seems to give us a chance. Cooper isn't Dak Part 2, but he is a hell of alot closer than Moore will ever be in my limited opinion.

In college there's a lot more wide open throws and knowing who the weak player on a defense is can help out a lot. Boise while he was there frequently had more talent then the team across from them also. I think Moore is probably a good leader and a smart football mind, which makes him useful, but get the man a polo and slap assistant coach on him. He just isn't a NFL QB because he lacks the minimum arm strength you need to actually make many NFL throws. When you combine that with athletic limits and the fact that he seems to be terrible getting his feet reset while he is on the move it means you have a noodle armed pocket passer who's on the short side. Limits his area to make throws massively. I suspect a defense that knows he's starting before the week would be able to come close to saying release guys after 15 yards, you can catch up while the ball is in the air if it goes further.

The Commanders didn't play any starters but their starting RB Morris had 19 carries and their starting QB Kirk Cousins had most of the passing attempts? How did that happen?

I'm sure they rested defensive starters but I'm not going to take the time to go through those stats, but its not accurate to say they "didn't play any starters".

And Moore had two games prior to that with passing yards of 158 and 186. If you look at the seven games prior to those three Moore starts, the Dallas QB had games with passing yards of 97 and 114 (Cassell) and 106 (Romo).
