Safety Calvin Pryor released for fighting his teammate

Definitely. We need guys who are such clowns they get released for fighting with teammates. Sounds like he'd be quite the positive influence.

Especially on a guy who has not been any good too.

I mean I might be tempted to take a look if the guy was actually a really good safety.

I still remember watching the draft that night with a Steelers fan and Jets fan in my living room. I was underwhelmed by the Martin pick (but thankful it wasn't Manziel) and found it interesting that the Cowboys were going to pick Shazier. The Jets fan was all gusto over the Pryor pick because he's easily impressed by the Underwear Olympics numbers. I'm not sure the Jets have had a draft pick that has panned out since. I'll have to see if he's getting the Sunday Ticket package this year or just resigning himself to yard work on Sundays.

Their draft pick the year after is one of the best in the league already. Leonard Williams.

Pryor wasn't an Underwear Olympics guy. Ran like a 4.6 at the combine. He was a productive safety at Louisville.

Someone refresh my memory. Who was the other safety from Louisville that had a disgusting amount of interceptions one year, like 13? Whatever happened to that guy?

Gerod Holliman.

Same as Robert Lester from Bama. Excellent college safeties, just not a good fit in the NFL

I'm all for RKG and Jeff Heath is a good guy... but SS is the weakest spot on the D

Yeah, that's right. They had a pretty good one there. Odds that they completely waste his first contract though and end up either losing him or paying through the nose just to have him on the field for some wins? Also notable that they picked him when they were already loaded at that position, creating a logjam.

Right, because that philosophy worked out great with Greg Hardy.

Damontre Moore was released by the Giants for fights with teammates..... over headphones

This would be the same Damontre Moore who is currently suspended, correct?
