Is it his fault the defense sucks and the OL and Zeke did nothing to help? Jesus, this is going to be Romo all over again.
Romo carried this team for a long time. It's appearent, Zeke is the one carrying it now.

Yep. So now call out Dak for exactly the same thing. Its called honesty. Dak like everyone else on the team and on the staff sucked yesterday and an HONEST person can admit it.

Yes he did. I am trying to give perspective, Dak is still only in his second year. Brady had a miserable stretch his second season. Check out weeks 4-6.

Spot on. Folks are acting like we played some unstoppable juggernaut. Denver is good but if a QB can't make a team pay for stacking the box then it's going to be a long season. Even on the few times when Dak threw downfield he threw it out of bounds and the receiver never really had a chance.

Dak is a good game manager who won't hurt his team when the running game is working and the D is playing well. But if this team is going to make any noise in the playoffs, he needs to show that he can carry this team when the need arises. Until then, teams are going to try to duplicate Denver's strategy on D until Prescott proves he can beat it.
We played the number1 passing defense. There wasnt a single team that laid 35 plus points on them last year which we would have needed to outscore the broncos

The falcons who went to the superbowl, only put up 23 points against the broncos. You know how thwy won? By not letting their offense shred them. Held the broncos to 16.

I was turning on him last week, through two weeks, he's one of the worst QB's in the league.

They were 9 and 7 with a 7th round QB who barely squeaked by the Chargers in week 1. Hey, I'm not saying that Denver is not a good team. They were also playing at home which is a tough place to play. But the level of futility tells a story. We're going to face tough defenses if we want to make the playoffs and have any success. And a franchise QB needs to be able to beat a stacked box to keep the D honest and give your RB some room. It was really a bad performance and the offense lacked any type of consistency and the QB lacked any accuracy.

he's been terrible, and not decision-making wise.

His accuracy has been horrible, and he isn't doing this offense any favors with this dink n dunk crap

The hatred for Romo left a lot of these fans with Knee jerk puppylove fear for Dak. They would have anointed a ham sandwich at that point. Reality is a real mother ain't it? Denver defense had no fear of Dak so all they had to do was stop the run. Fact is that Romo would have made them pay for that. Ya'll can keep worshiping the boy prince despite his obvious shortcomings.

Can you expand a bit, because this is the first time I've ever referenced "Romosexuals"? Are you talking about someone else or are you getting "triggered"?

No you are just one of a certain type of guy, because I guess that wasn't obvious in my post.

This isn't just about winning and losing in denver.. its is a tough trip..

It is the way we lost.. it is the fact that we watched Dak miss multiple 'easy' throws last week.. we should have absolutely buried the Giants.. and again this week..

Also stop with the rubbish that we had 'no open receivers'... watch the footage.. there were at least 8 occasions where you could see (even from the crap TV coverage) wide open receivers and Dak just panicked and went for his check down.. Dez may have 'cost' Dak 1 int.. but he saved another 3 that should have been picked off too. Dak continually threw behind the receivers.. hence why very few YAC.. essentially 80% of our passing yards were due to brilliant catches rather than good throws.

Dak is a bus driver.. and was a bus driver last year.. his stats looked awesome because he was very rarely asked to do anything remotely difficult. Honestly.. any NFL close level QB could have handled this offence last year. Romo had only a couple of drives and it was knife through butter stuff.

Maybe Dak has got it, maybe he doesn't.. too early to tell but he player a seriously bad game yesterday and it has me super worried that we are going to look back and regret jumping on the hype train so quickly. Zeke, and by extension the OL, was the reason we purred last year. NFL coaches aren't stupid (well clappers exempt) and they studied the tape and have very clearly identified that if you stop the run.. you stop Dak. Expect to see a lot of loaded boxes for the rest of the season. Let's hope Dak handles them a whole lot better or its going to be a very long season.

You summed up this whole situation better than anyone I've seen on here.

Because it makes people feel better. Dak will never be remotely close to Brady.

And Brady was no where close to being Brady that we know of today thiose early years in qbr during the regular season. (not talking about his playoff success)

1st 3 seasons he played in at least 15 games (only played in 1 his rookie year).

2001 86.5 qbr
2002 85.7 qbr
2003 85.9 qbr

I can say the same about your Boy Zeke too being a Bus driver. All he does is run up the middle and doesn't recognize when the interior d is there waiting for him. Refuses to cut to the outside. His speed is no where what it was last year so far these 1st 2 games.

Dak is in the 2nd game of his second season. At that point in his career, Romo hadn't played a regular season snap yet. To expect Dak to instantly be what it took Romo years to become is unrealistic.

Agreed, but my reply was to someone blaming everything but the moon as to why Dak played like he did. He played like that because Zeke couldn't run the ball in support. Dak has been hailed as the savior by a lot of posters and in all reality has benefitted immensely all of last year by the run game.

Sorry but getting 4 carries in a half is just not enough.. how can he 'refuse' to do anything if he doesn't have the rock?? I'd be very interested to hear how many run plays Dak audibled into passes yesterday.. I'd say a few (and probably correctly considering the 8 men in the box) based on the amount of frustration we saw from Zeke.

I agree his speed doesn't look to be at the same level but last week he rolled out 100 yards.. most of them in the second half when our fancy pretty boy QB was told to stop audibles and run the dang ball.

Don't know the time stamp but the late screen pass summed up the day for Zeke.. made his chip block, got to the outside in a hurry and turned and waited for the ball.. and waited, and waited, and waited.. and then finally Dak throws the ball.. throws it two steps behind him.. Zeke recovers it, turns up field gets 3yards before contact and then about 3 after. Could have been a succesful play had the QB got the ball to him on time and on target.

Also, and again this may surprise you, but very hard to bump to the outside if the play is a HB draw (which is what 3 of the 4 touches in the first half were)... if he bumps to the outside he likely loses yards, especially with their fast edge rushers.

To get the ball to the outside, we need to try a toss sweep or maybe even a screen... we did neither of those. I would challenge ANY RB in this league to get yards running into a stacked box when the OL is getting absolutely no push whatsoever.

So I would agree Zeke didn't get the chance to shine yesterday and it cost this team big team. He is not a bus driver.. he is an elite grade RB and we refused to use him correctly because Dak has 'taken over' the offence and wants to be aaron rodgers. Mentioned it last week and it became painful this week.. Dak is simply not playing his role right now and the whole offence is suffering. I am not surprised that Zeke is checking a tantrum.. four touches in a half???!!! Get real!
