I just don't have faith our coaches (all three main ones) have what it takes to right the ship if their original game plan doesn't work in the playoffs. It's a crappy feeling...they are holding this team back from its fullest potential. But you can't complain after the talent on this team lead you to 12-4 I guess

You call that type of defense when you are leading not when you are behind. Totally idiotic giving up 5-10 yard passes to avoid the big play when you need the ball back. Lets just let them dink and dunk and hold the ball for 8+ minutes while we are down by 18.

That's a very simplistic analysis.

You aren't giving up 5-10 yard passes merely because the corners *start* the play 10 yards off the ball. The time required for a quarterback to prepare to pass the ball and the time for it to travel in the air is close to a second...and a CB can often close 10 yards in that time.

There are valid arguments against this type of coverage, but any real analysis must start with a better foundation than what you are saying.

They're not wanting to get beat by big plays. Having the corners off 7-10yds to start simply gives up slants, crossing, outs & picks...... So you're protecting against a QB not known for deep accuracy & playing to his strengths.

Of course our secondary is a maligned **** show to start with.....staff was trying to protect certain areas or simply mailed it in-which isn't that far fetched!

Absolutely Nailed it. Every Cowboys fan wondering what the **** went wrong last sunday here it is. Terrible defensive coaching and scheme.
