kind of injury prone
He’s been resilient throughout his three-year career, starting with making the Chiefs’ roster as an undrafted rookie out of Akron in 2015. Whatever ground he gained that summer was forfeited when he tore his meniscus in a preseason game.
Nonetheless, he reemerged as a starter for Kansas City in 2016. That looked like his breakthrough until he broke his hand in the fifth game. He had 22 tackles and two pass break-ups in those starts.
both 2015 and 2016 ended very early due to injury

Depth at weakside which is probably his more natural role.

Great ST guy and a professional young guy supposedly.

Can always use help on ST

ST probably a key here as well as we are lighter at LB than we are DL or DB. So people can cry about not picking up one of the latter but LB is a huge need.

Question is can the guy provide depth at LB as well as play ST.

Who are this team's current defensive tackles?

Hitchens just came back and Lee should return after the bye. They've gotten those two, Smith, Wilson (now in the clear), Durant and Wilber. And now this guy.

Since last season, they've shuffled through Thornton, two draft picks, and now Paea at the defensive tackle position.

Other than Collins, who's left?

Price. Well, Irving will and should get a lot of time at 3 since that honestly seems to be his best position.

We also have Jarron Jones from ND on the practice squad. I actually wanted him in the 4th round but he went UDFA so i dunno maybe he's just an idiot.

Should probably target somebody. Do we even have anyone worth trading?

I remember his name with the Dolphins. They are weak at LB and let him go. Hoping it was a mistake on their part, but holding my breath

I'd like to what Irving could do at RDE. He actually might be able to keep contain against the run? But I'm no telling sure about Irving inside on a regains basis. Pass rush? Sure. Every down? Not so sure.

Is he an offensive or defensive lineman this week? Hard to keep track with him!

They've kept Ash around for over a year, I'd give him a shot, just to have some needed size in there.

I named them.

1. Collins
2. Price
3. Crawford
4. Irving
5. Lawrence
6. Taco

a. Neal
b. Ash

1-4 can play DT well. 5-6 are pass rotational although I'd add Irving to that list. Crawford is a 3/SDE/1. Irving is a 5/3. Price is a 1/3. Collins is a 3/1. Taco is a rotational 5/3. Lawrence is a 5 and rotational 3.

1-4 are your true DTs although some can play elsewhere.

I don't think you have to bring anyone up at DT. I like we brought up a LB esp one who has started before and can play STs.

Sorry, I disagree with you here. The majority of these guys are defensive ends, not tackles. There are two on that list right now, Collins and Price.

The rest I see as bandaid fill-ins without a true home. Is Crawford a DE or DT this week? What about Daving Irving?

I see some jack-of-all-trades, master of none types. I'm not comfortable with that.

For the love of God, why is it that there are so many that still do not understand this very simple reality?
Exactly. This isn't Madden where you can switch team control to the Panthers, release Luke Kuechly, and then sign him to the Cowboys roster.
