We should open a Bad Advice forum, where people can bring their problems and we'll take turns telling them how to solve them in inadvisable ways.
I wanted to pull my Ruger .38 on the kid’s fathers in front of the kids.

I wanted to tell the kids that if they loved their daddy’s, know that this kid you’re messing with (my son), has a psycho dad who was wounded at war and doesn’t give a shyte :D

My son’s mom accosted me. :)

You seem so nice, Trouty. But then you sort of terrify me at the same time, because I'm only like 90% sure you're not completely serious.

Yep. So I know the drill. Hit me up over PM if you want specifics, but it's one of the coolest things I did with my kids. I'm a huge believer in it.
Will do, El Presidente. Especially as he gets closer to high school. He’s built like a rock (like his daddy :)), but he’s so dang innocent.

These arse kids won’t know what hit them once I teach him how to grapple, once we finish what I know.

HS wrestling would be wonderful for him. I may inquire more with you, via pm, about it, Idg.

Idgit, I am such a mellow person. I hold doors open for folks, hand out money to the poor, Shake hands, give hugs, call people ten years younger than myself sir/ma’am, love animals, children, kids, elderly, nature...

But when you cross my child, you cross my angel, you better run. On a smaller note, when I feel like I’ve been nice to someone and they don’t respect it or acknowledge it, I go a little wild, too.

But I’m a great friend and a great daddy, and I was a fantastic husband. Exterior forces ruined our marriage, Idg.

Grappler will always beat a boxer in a fight. While I respect boxing, wrestling builds better character in my experience. But, it's always good for a kid to know how to defend themselves.

...Teaching a child self-defense is a good thing!...especially into todays' world!

Fake a left and land a throat punch with a straight right. Once bent over and gasping for air, a muay thai clinch with a few knees to the nose are all it takes.

Grappling won't work if the others are heavier and stronger.

Watch some bas rutten videos or some old school Royce Gracie.

Taught my son how to fight this weekend. He has slow hands so I can’t teach him to box, but I taught him grappling.

He gets good grades and has a small, but close circle. Not a popular kid, but has some really amazing friends.

So there’s these two punk arse kids in his PE that have been throwing shade at him. I tought him take downs and grappling. We broke one of my mirrors wrestling. He’s a straight A student, now, and I’ll be damned if some little punk messes with my son. My back and rear delts hurt today. We went hard and he was all about it.

I told his mom I was gonna pull a .38 on the parents of the two boys messing with our son, she got mad :)

We both agreed this would be better.

I'm gonna do the same with my son. Grappling/jujitsu is so much more useful than boxing in a street fight.

My son is too slow with his hand speed for that type of fighting. I explained this in the OP.

But he has legs like his dad. And I’m teaching him knee strikes while mounted. Not to the head, but the abdomen, He’ll be fine when we’re done.

And I also stated in my OP that we are doing Gracy Jiu Jitsu.

Gracy grappling was invented for small and the less weighted. It’s leverage. Tho, my son is a little pit bull and has a great low center of gravity.

This is exactly my point. This kids are too small to hurt with fist strikes. Like I said in the op, no strike will phase him as he takes down his opponent.

My son will bruise their ribs and choke them out.

Our next lesson is this weekend.

You're a good father.

That sucks, but if they're like most teenagers once they see he's not an easy mark, they'll probably move on. (Unless they decide he's real BA. Then they might want to hang out with him. :)) So hopefully he won't have to use much of his training.

I've heard so many parents and teachers talk about cyber bullying, almost forgot that some kids still do it the old way.

The most important thing is to make your son aware of what it's like getting hit in the face. Boxing gloves and head gear are good for this. Teaches them not to loose focus when hit. Angles too. If the bully is right handed, circle to your right, towards his power hand. Rich Franklin was a master at angles.

Or you can just teach him the Wanderlie Silva fist roll, and nobody will mess with him. Lol
