Jay Ajayi trade to eagles **merged**

20+ years of the same GM. What, 2 playoff wins over that period?

How anyone can really be surprised we are where we are would be perplexing. But some fans will always believe that each year, the front office has finally learned and it will be different.

Oh and here's a dirty little secret that some don't want to discuss. A lot of the "positivity" about the front office the last couple of offseason is tied to the drafting of Prescott. Which, if people are honest with themselves, was a great deal of luck he turned out like he did. Let's note, Jerry, himself, said he was sick they didn't get Lynch. They also wanted Connor Cook, who thank God, someone took right before us in the 4th.
We are becoming a lighter version of Cleveland or Miami and the fans continue to be sold on "next year". Now that JJ has the gold jacket, he must think he's amazing and be even more reluctant to hand over the keys.

I gotta believe there’s some Eagles message board linked to this thread and they’re all laughing at the epic ruing.

Dallas isn't cheap. We will pay big money to players but it is to the wrong people i.e. TWill, Crawford and Dez. Our front office is terrible and it's why we haven't done anything in over 2 decades.

Chip Kelly ruined that team and now the Eagles are the class of the NFC in just 2 years. While we sit and twiddle our thumbs.

This is one of those 'Do you remember the thread about...' no matter what ultimately happens this season.

Great trade by the Eagles, building a strong team. Boys.....not so much.

No doubt that they would use Cowboys fans hyping up their team to blow up their inflated egos about this finally being their year to win the Superbowl.

One thing about the trade is that the Eagles basically took a flyer on a guy that will only cost them $670K this year and $760K next year. If they get a year and a half of cheap, quality production out of him they hit it big, all for a 4th rnd pick. His knees are only good for two more years? That's all they have him for right now.

Nonsense. The Eagles FO is infallible, so handsome, has a 401k, and knows how to treat a fan.

-swoon-

No, the Eagles decided they had three 4th round picks and are looking at a guy they just need to get them through this season.

Some of you are acting like the Eagles think they just traded for their Zeke, a guy who they will count on for the next 5 years.

Ajayi is basically a half year rental. If he dies this offseason from bad knees or overuse their hit next year is minimal.

I hate the Dolphins so much. Since I live in Miami, everyone here is going crazy. But now I'm hearing his knees are bad. So maybe it was a good move to trade him.. I mean we all thought DeMarco was going to do something in Philly.

The Eagles will never win the Super Bowl.

I don't care how much hype they get or what their record is.

We have been down this road before with them. All roses and sunshine in Philadelphia, then it all crashes and burns. It's been that way since Super Bowls have been played and will always be that way.

Crash and burn.

While I generally have agreed with that assessment there's a new variable in the mix now they actually have a quarterback better than they've had since they started calling championships, Super Bowls.

McPuke is gone. This new guy isn't afraid to throw an interception, and when he does it doesn't phase them in the least.

Ajayi has been pretty awful this season and has chronic knee issues. With that said, he could be dangerous coupled with Smallwood and Blount. He's definitely not getting 25+ carries anymore though.

He's the greatest QB in the history of that franchise. Sounds good to say they'll never win one but there is no secret force preventing them from winning.

Wentz makes them formidable for the next decade plus. That scares the crap out of me. I wouldn't bet against him.
