Deion Sanders fires back at Tony Romo's comment about his tackling **merged**

Troy's rushing numbers...
327 1016 9

Tony's rushing numbers:
238 620 5

It would also be inaccurate. Troy ran the wish bone at Oklahoma.

Aikman 3:44 vs Hurricanes(team none for their speed)

here is one for you

Before his knees started to get injured all the time Joe Namath was a very good option QB

Brings back great memories, u can see the tension and everyone on that set knew that Deion had bad mouthed Romo over the years. Lol at Irvin telling Romo that he could throw that Deion miniature in the fireplace...Irvin knew what was up. Efff Deion...
5:00 to 5:10 is hilarious...Romo didn't back down. And they killed Philadelphia the next game, after Phillys great start they ended with a thud.

Great memories, went to that game and the following Philly drubbing - **** Blandino & league management, we got screwed.

Deion.

But that doesn't mean you say it on the air. You can make your point about Peters being an awful tackler without referencing Deion.

Why? Sanders was a notorious non-tackler - if Sanders didn't want the references made decades later, he should have tackled which is what defensive players are supposed to do.

He didn't, and that's a mark on his otherwise stellar resume.

It would have also helped Sanders if he didn't coin the "Business decision" phrase in context of the NFL and repeat that when he's watching highlights. He made that phrase because that's how he played the game - he helps make himself known for that.

For as great as he was in coverage, he was as selfish and soft as a player. He deserved to be knocked for it and so does Peters.

Deion is also greatly revered as a Falcon,49er, Commander, and Raven while TO has been worshiped as a 49er, EAGLE, Bill and a Bengal. In all, they spent about 80% of their careers helping other teams defeat the Cowboys.

The Cowboys that I revere had no such conflicting allegiances. True, some may have spent a few years prior or a few years after their Cowboy careers with a 2nd team but every NFL fan understood they will always be known as a Cowboy.

As for both Deion and TO, as much as you may revere them, nobody reveres them more than themselves.

So, in other words, they love them some them?

Those are horrible career numbers for both of them and Troy broke his leg at OKLA and it is why he left

Troy was not a mobile QB

Deion didn't win one either because it's a team game. He never would've won a SB if he remained on the Falcons and didn't move on to the 49ers or the Cowboys. Evidence that you can be an all-pro - even the best at your position all time - but still need a balanced team around you to actually win one.
Really?

TO and Deion were great Cowboys and it's disingenuous to use their existence elsewhere to take away from what they contributed as Cowboys.

Michael Irvin said:
I didn't like that at all, man. I didn't like that last night. I saw it, I saw it. Here's the kicker for me. I love Tony, I talk with Tony all the time. I love Deion. But it's like, for so long Deion, you've made a living off telling people that my job is covering. Now when someone uses it within the framework of what you said ... So when Tony used it and for him to come back that way yeah that's crazy. It's having fun, guys. You've gotta be able to laugh at yourself.

But yeah that was crazy. I didn't think comment Tony made was bad to be honest with you. And everybody says it, even Deion says it. So I don't know. It wasn't like he said he couldn't play. He just said hey that'd make Deion proud or something.

Sorry for another thread but with Mike being such popular Icon with fans, many would be interested in his take on this ( he's close with both players )

Michael Irvin to Deion Sanders: laugh at yourself
Deion Sanders can't take a joke

Michael Irvin may have played with Deion Sanders when he was a member of the Dallas Cowboys, but he also has quite a bit of love for Tony Romo as members of the exclusive fraternity of players who spent their entire careers with the team. Romo and Sanders are in the middle of quite a spat at the moment, as Romo jokingly criticized Sanders' tackling ability during Sunday's broadcast of the Cowboys-Chiefs game, which Sanders didn't take kindly to.

But to Irvin, who recently appeared on 105.3 The Fan's G-Bag nation (h/t The Dallas Morning News), Sanders needs to be able to laugh at himself.
