If Dak was to go 0-6 as a starter without Zeke will he look like a fraud?

If we go 0-6, are the Dallas Cowboys frauds as well or just our 2nd year QB? I am trying to get this straight.........

Dak has to overcome:
1. Poor coaching who can't adjust mid-game
2. Missing LT to an already struggling line
3. A defense who becomes bottom 5 without ONE player
4. The bellcow centerpiece of our offensive scheme in Zeke
5. A run orientated offense which defaults to pass-happy on a whim
6. A GM who has priorities in other areas

Sure, lets blame the guy who has no control over the above. Dak has proven, at least, that he is capable of driving the bus......much like a Flacco, Eli, et al. He may turn out to be better, who knows. If anyone is looking for a QB who can overcome all those obstacles, then good luck.

Romo could not beat the same odds........so if Dak can't, then he sucks I guess

I got news for some, Dak is/should be the least of our concerns at this time. Now, if he goes out there and looks like Weedon or Cassel stinking up the joint.......then start complaining about it.

Up until now, Dak looks like he can get us to where we want to go but in no way can he do it alone. Kind of like what many expected Tony to do all by his lonesome yet blamed him in the end.

0-6 tells me nothing without actually seeing what transpires, so this is a hidden "bash Dak" thread in disguise.

Nope, not with that schemeless system we run.

Did they change it from the one we had last year? Hmm...seemed to work last year. Dak and zeke were pro bowlers and Garrett rode that system all the way to " coach of the year" I wonder why they changed it.

You guys do know we had a game in week 2 just like the Falcons game, right? With Smith, with Zeke, with Lee...

SHHHH!!! Never bring that game up again bro!!! Remember Brady is 0-100,00,00 playing there...Dak had no chance.. no QB has a chance there . Not even Wentz.

I'm going to relish the disappointed expressions and outbursts on here when people realise Dak's going to be the QB at Dallas for the next decade or so. The tears will be real, amusing and real, and I'm going to need a whole lot more popcorn.

I mean there is no way he can be taken seriously as a starter if he can't win one game without zeke. True starters find a way to be successful even when players are missing in the lineup not just struggle until players come back. So for example, if pressure is coming from the left side again this week is he smart enough to play to his right side and throw pass to the middle or to the right? Or will he continue to stand in the pocket knowing their is pressure from one side? Being a NFL starter is more than just throwing the ball down the field. You also need to play smart and figure out what works well and read defenses

Agree or Disagree?
Troy Aikman went 0-11 his rookie year. Steve Walsh led the team to their only win that season.

He won games as a rookie without Tyron AND Dez on the field. At the end of the day it's a team sport and Dak has proven he can do his part.

He's the farthest thing from a fraud. But he can't do it all by himself.

I'm more concerned with the defense playing without Lee anyhow.

Troy went 0-2 without Emmitt beginning of season.

Answer: No

To add: if you make good decisions especially at the qb position how can you ever be considered a fraud?
People lose sight of the fact that he is just over one season and half as a starter.

Gad!

Wentz, Brady, and Rodgers would have started running to the right side to buy some time to throw instead of standing in the pocket

This comment shows that you either didn’t watch the game closely, or you just don’t know what the hell youre looking at.

Dak was running for his life. He had over 40 yards rushing.

It's up to the rest of the team to step up too. Not just one Dak and Dak shouldn't have to feel like he has to do it alone. The O-Line needs to protect him, the back up running backs need to produce. The Defense needs to hold opposing offenses to reasonable scores. So that the O doesn't have to score 30-40 points to win games all of the time.

Yes they did change, where's the misdirection, jet sweeps, roll outs, options, last year most times I had no idea what was coming. This year we're operating inside the tackle box, dropping back and waiting for our receivers to open up.
basically the offense that was so successful in 2015.
Scott has had 2 great years here, one when he adjusted garretts offense to a horizontal offense as Romo was coming off a back injury and needed shallow quick routes, remember Dez running crossing routes and then RAC.
Last year he developed a hybred to help Dak. This year he's trying to return to his base offense, which can work if everybody is healthy and here, but that's not the case, and his stubbornness is killing us.
