We never deserved 9

Dude was gold and we never realized it.
You realize what you had when it's gone. I'd love Romo to come back next year as QB coach or OC. I know he'll probably never leave his job at CBS but I can dream.

Romo is a great guy. Always was and he is a true cowboy.

But deep down he knows the party is over. Just like we all do.

Someone told me in a previous thread that Dak does not know how to throw to Dez Bryant. I never really paid attention to it until today when I watched Dak closely and then Rivers side by side. The way Rivers throws guys open, the over the shoulder throws, throwing the ball where no one else can catch the ball except his receiver. It seems to me Dak does not do those things well. And Rivers had zero running game.

I realized today that having Zeke in the back field and using play action covers up a lot of Dak's deficiencies. It he a bad QB? I don't think so. He's a young QB who could use better coaching.
You could tell Romo was in synch with Rivers' thought process throughout.
Good stuff.
Sucks that we were on the receiving in though.

Yea. I normally pay more attention to the defense, but today just focused on the QB's. It was a learning experience. I found myself in the first quarter saying "When Romo was playing he made throws that Dak struggles on easily" then watching Rivers carve up or defense was an eye opener.

What's it going to be then, eh?

So tired of hearing about Romo.

What he does right now and forward is irrelevant to what we do.

I know there are still a lot of you coping with separation anxiety, but there is not a single thing he could do or say that would affect this team in any way.

Romo is a die-hard Cowboy.

He said years ago how distasteful it'd be for him to leave for a year to a team like the loaded Denver or pre-Wilson Seatlle team, then win a title as hired gun.
He wanted it so bad for us...Cowboy fans.
Failed to get it,but not from lack of effort and body part loss:laugh:

I wish Tony had not got hurt or his body break down. Would have been nice to go last year and this year with him and have Dak be groomed under him for a few years.

I think Dak will be fine. He's a year and half into his career but some of us talk like he's 8 to 10 year vet. It's obvious he needs pieces around him but I think he'll continue to develop. Either that or the FO will ruin him as they wasted the years of guys like Romo, Witten, Ware............

To tell you the truth what I said really had nothing to do with Romo and more to do with the fact that Dak has a limited set of throws he makes. It could be due to youth, it could be due to our scheme which relies heavily on Zeke and play action. But I think it's on our coaching. They need to work with him on those throws and make him better.

I feel the existing coaching staff is not doing a good job with him.
