Why is it so quiet in here, are all the haters gagging?

They made adjustments, Z. They did what you wanted and saw success. You could appreciate it and even pat yourself on the back for being right.

Instead you are doubling down on them not making adjustments.

I'm glad they finally made adjustments and won. But this has been the theme with JG. He is stubborn to a fault. He doesn't like to make changes until it's forced on to him by Jerry or due to injuries.

For example, Roy Williams (WR) was sucking it up in 2009 but it took an injury for JG to play Miles Austin. What did Miles do?
Broke the Cowboys receiving record for a single game. He followed that up with another 170 yard game agasint ATL and eventually replace Roy as the starter.

Same type of thing happened with Felix Jones and Demarco Murray in 2011.

Yeh, I'm glad we finally made the adjustments but it may have been too late. Had some of these changes been made quicker, we could be in better position to make the playoffs.

Were you calling for adjustments last year? Or just during the one game when they did make adjustments and came back only to lose on an incredible pass by one of the greatest qb's of all time.

Not to mention we were missing 3-4 pro bowlers, a depleted secondary full of rookies and injuries and have almost zero depth compared to other teams. That's not a quick, easy fix.

Yes I was. Go back and look.

Were you thumping your chest last 3 weeks when we were getting our butt spanked?

Absolutely not but I took it for what it was. A team that just lost their best offensive player to suspension, a pro bowler O lineman out with a scrub as a back up, their best defensive player and "qb" of the defense out, a secondary riddled with injuries and rookies and a 2nd year qb going through a sudden and unpredictable slump.

All of this against a team that was in the SB last year and the best team in the league who we miraculously were within 2 points of after the first half which no one expected either. Chargers, I got nothing besides the cruddy secondary the FO gave us by letting all the vets walk.

That is fair but you are guessing at what it is that causes him to make changes. I am not going to argue that he is overly conservative. It is what it is.

This is great, I go from being labeled as a troll to being a homer all within 6 months. You guys really need to figure this out, even I'm confused now.

The offense and Dak struggled in the 1st quarter and they improved, not broke down as everyone hoped, as the game went on. Putting up that many points on offense is struggling? Haha...good stuff.

I never claimed SB and I've laughed at people every pre season when they say that. SB? No Playoffs? A decent shot...god forbid. Everyone complains about JG and no playoff appearances and now they complain and are disappointed that we're that much closer.

I didnt say you were a homer or that you said we were going to the SB. If i had meant that I would have said "homers like you" instead of just "homers".

Maybe I shouldn't have said hate. Apologies, but it sure does seem that way and I've been accused of the same for saying much less. I also admitted in this thread I hate Jerry Jones so there's that.

Its not personal hate, its fan hate.

Then you lack imagination and can only conceive of happiness being part of a herd. Some people thrive taking on unpopular causes that they believe in.

Personally when everyone agrees with me I find myself reflexively inspecting my beliefs. Doesn't mean that I find them wanting but the bandwagon will lead you astray.

Lol, I'm the furthest thing from being part of the "herd" mentality. My conception of happiness involve spending time with close family and friends, not verbally assaulting people on a message board for being "fake fans". Seems pretty vain, but to each their own. I'm still going to give him **** about it.

Good win! It was great to see the oline open up some good lanes. Morris ran well. Defense had a good pass rush. As a result, the coverage by the cornerbacks was better. Would love to see the Cowboys get a receiver who is a little quicker in that 5 yard box.
Hope it turns out better than 8-8. We shall see soon enough.

ATL was in the SB last year but we were a 13-3 team and the #1 seed . What does that have to do with anything this year?

ATL was struggling team when we played them yet we got blown out. Chargers were a up and down 4-6 team when playing us.
Keep making excuses to prop up your hero JG.

Atlanta lost 3 in a row and then won 4 of 5, one of those being a 3 point loss to Carolina. Since 13-3 last year has zero to do with this year and the year before has nothing to do with the year b fore that and so on then I guess this is JG first season and he's winning and may make the playoffs so stop hating.

It's unbelievable that you expect things to just keep clicking along as usual and for the team to make all of these adjustments with scrubs after losing several pro bowlers all at once. Whatever dude, I think it's clear and understood where we stand with each other.

You were implying ATL was as good as they were last year when we played them. They are not. Pay attention before making dumb claims.

Those "scrubs" were the same players that played much better once the adjustments were made yesterday. We had the same pro bowlers against the Chargers as yesterday.

What's dumb is you claiming to know what I was implying. If you're that curious perhaps you should ask for clarification next time before calling someone dumb and jumping to conclusions. That's not what I was implying but keep guessing. Maybe, just maybe I was implying they are still a very good team who has the bulk of their players back from last year and didn't have near the loss of players we had.

Even with those scrubs playing against Atlanta I don't think we would have won. I never claimed Washington was as good as Atlanta but I forgot, you already know what I'm thinking.

So you weren't implying that ATL was a good team by writing the above? Then why even mention them in a same sentence with the "best team in the league"?

You don't even know what you mean when posting. Get a clue.

The negatives are a lot easier to accept when the product not he field is of a higher quality.

I say this having been to 19 games at 19 different NFL stadiums. Of those, it is the worst experience, outside of Arizona. The fan base simply isn't into the game. After about five minutes, you can have a conversation with someone three seats down at a perfectly normal volume for 3/4ths of the game.

Had to have been that
'Dry Heat' the Arizona stadium offered, Huh?,,, the temperature generally drops from sizzle to broil around November,,, sometimeso_O

Just curious why it's suddenly quiet when the Cowboys started winning. I couldn't take all the negativity in the live thread so I checked out here for a breath of fresh air but all is silent. Looking forward to more bashing and conspiracy theories that Gruden must be on Goodells payroll to throw the game.

One of the best performances of the year on several fronts against a division rival. I expected to win but not like this. Couldn't be more happy. Sleep tight haters, I don't how difficult it is to sleep after watching the Cowboys win but you must be miserable. On the other hand I'll be having very nice dreams of destroying the most inept team in the NFL next week who also happens to be a division rival.
No...

There are plenty of Dak haters feverishly opening and closing their pie holes.

They were a .500 team with a talented QB and a division rival. The regular complaint was that we allowed QBs to have field days against us.

We picked him off, forced fumbles, and slobberknocked him around en route to a multiple score margin of victory.

What happened to us being the worst team ever that only ever suffered blowouts even against scrubadubs like the Chargers?

+1 point awarded for the deft&aptly employed term:
" Slobberknocked",,,truly a befitting colorful choice in illustrating what transpired
