How good has Cooper been?

He's lost a lot of his movement that he showed in college. Must have been that broken leg at Zona his rookie season.

I don’t know about that. Earlier in the season he was getting out ahead of Zeke and regularly blocking 8-10 yards downfield. He’s mobility has been very impressive.

Overall a pleasant surprise. Good drive blocker but I have seen him struggle to get to LBs in space at the second level. Seems to not be the athlete Martin is.

I have seen some pancakes of other team’s DL .
Ask Terrel McClain about Cooper. He handled him in the first Skins game.

Struggled in pass protection when Tyron was out but OK with Tyron playing. Cheap player for now.

Considering he walked in to Dallas with the bust label firmly attached to his name. I'd say he has been a great success here given what he has accomplished thus far.

Exactly........I think some fans forget how high the FO was on him coming out of college. The fact they're trusting him a starting position after being released by several teams, speaks volumes. He's finally healthy and confident.......I think he's a keeper. Guessing FO will offer him long-term deal.......

I think resigning Cooper is a no brained. It should be a sweetheart of a deal too. You can’t afford pro bowlers at every position, but Cooper has pro bowl upside. I really don’t think he’s been much of a downgrade and only really struggles when Tyron does. They make a great tandem over there though.

Cooper should be resigned for a Modest contract.

The cowboys need to keep drafting OL players to develop young talent though.

Not saying draft a guard in the first again. But if the BPA in the mid rounds is a guard. Gotta take him.

Re up for a 1-2 year deal. Draft a guard in the mid to late rounds for depth/possible replacement.

Worth resigning, price should be right. Still not so good that we don't address the OL in the draft.

I would tell him we will do a good two year deal and if he is really good we will go all the way on the next contract. Sort of like what we did with Lael. Prove em deals.

we should be carefully drafting OL in the first 5 rds every year. Only do it a little better then we did in the past as I recall all those 3rd and 4th round failures. REAL projects should be either 7th rd picks or UDFA. Free was the only one we got from the middle rounds that panned out for a VERY long time.

The question should be will we draft a RT and move Collins back to LG or will we draft a guard to replace Cooper? Or just stand pat and bring in some late rounders/URFA to see if they can surprise? Build the trenches/keep churning. I hope we focus draft on DL/WR/S/OL/LB this year. I know its very early but do we know if any of these are deep in this years draft class?
