How good has Cooper been?

First to admit I’m a poor judge of interior line play. My first thought is he hasn’t been a significant drop off from Leary and is close to a must re-sign (if the price is right) in order to keep line continuity. So what day you CZ?

Oh he's definitely been a significant drop off from Leary.

He's been ok. Some good games and some not so good.

Cooper was impressive on some of the zone runs when Zeke was back there. We've been running a lot of power, he's been steady. His ceiling higher then Leary's, IMO just in athleticism alone. Needs to stay healthy

Cooper has been getting better as the year progresses. He is good enough to help the Cowboys win in January.

Considering the $ and injury risk Leary has, it was still a good move to let him walk. His play this year isn't at the level it was with the Cowboys.

Better more consistent drive and about equal in taking on lateral quickness. Plus he is getting better and works better on combos with Fred.

Considering he walked in to Dallas with the bust label firmly attached to his name. I'd say he has been a great success here given what he has accomplished thus far.

I rewatched a couple of games and came away impressed with Cooper. I watch a play then rewind it a few times to check out individual players. Not perfect, but good. I was thinking that he may play his way into a big contract and out of Dallas. I would still use a couple of mid round picks on linemen, but really hope we can resign Cooper.

Good enough to offer him a 2 year extension worth a few beans. I would still look at an OG in the draft.

I think resigning Cooper is a no brained. It should be a sweetheart of a deal too. You can’t afford pro bowlers at every position, but Cooper has pro bowl upside. I really don’t think he’s been much of a downgrade and only really struggles when Tyron does. They make a great tandem over there though.
