I don't know why this is difficult to understand. The guy doesn't make any decisions - his sole purpose is to give someone to be mad at other than the owners.

they don’t care. i will say this though regarding zekes case. Goodell did not make the decision to suspend him. owners were behind that. makes no sense for Goodell to tell Jerry; zeke is cleared and then suspends him 6 games.

works both ways though. i’m sure jerry was behind Brady’s suspension. owners like goodell till something affects them directly.

I'll still be here, though. I'll just not be paying what I'm paying for NFL season games. Too many other options out there now, and just screw the NFL for treating their fans they way they have been lately. They're killing the product, and if they're going to collectively affirm that's the direction they want to continue to go in, I guess it's up to us to let them know it's a bad direction. Otherwise, it'll just keep slipping further and further into 'unwatchable.'

Agreed.

Things may have gone very differently if all the owners had a vote on the extension. But they gave all the authority to the committee.

Jerry tried to change that after the fact, but failed miserably.

Jones fought the stupid fight. There has been quite a bit of fallout from this year's off field decisions, the Cowboys have taken a hit, Jones has taken a hit, and crucially we have nothing to show for it. Oh, except zero offensive holding penalties coming our way. Real smart decision Jerry
