Will the Eagles go after Romo

Yes and so do rookies when they come in at the end of a game when the other team has already quit jeez people get out of Fantasyland
Except it wasn't the end of the game and the Eagles obviously hadn't quit...since they eventually won after Sanchez came in and did what he always does.

You're right, no player has ever come out of retirement before. Sorry.

Simple to come out of retirement
To me though the issue is really his new job. Romo is set up to make huge money with a very long career in the booth. Walking away right now could hurt that. But coming into a new offense after not playing all season is virtually impossible to succeed and I don’t see much upside to trying it
Some guys can’t walj away and a shot like this would bring some guys out of retirement but romo has such a great opportunity I think he would pass if offered

At this point they may be saying goodbye to their storybook season.

As ridiculous as it sounds, Romo is the obvious choice for them as he is significantly better than Foles.

When you're a franchise that has never won a Super Bowl, do you let this opportunity slip by? Does Romo who must be more than comfortable with CBS say yes to one more chance at winning a Super Bowl and sticking it to the Cowboys?

Great offensive line, offensive weapons, and a running back... If I'm him, I do it.

Romo is done buddy. Why isnt that obvious to you? His back ended his career.

I wonder if he has anything built into his CBS contract that would allow him to return to football at all without losing his gig. I assume with how he has performed so far at CBS that if he actually wanted to go play football and then return to the booth he could.

Maybe, but how effective could a guy out a year and in a new system really be?
Seems like the odds of success are slim

Nope, Romo's not coming back for anyone. He's enjoying his new job where he can earn good money without getting clobbered by linemen and linebackers.

I mean the logistics of him actually coming out, as rusty as he is, and learning an entirely new system in 2-3 weeks is a completely waiting disaster for Romo and the Eagles

The only way this could be crazier is if he did come back, and was injured in week 17 after being sacked by the Cowboys. :igglestrophy:

Romo is no DeMarco Murray... I hope

No reason to worry. Murray made a business decision when he signed that contract with Philly....trying to get his pay day.

Romo on the other hand, already sleeps on a mattress that's stuffed with cash and could wipe his *** with hundred dollar bills for the rest of his life if he so desired.
