Receiving the ball at the start of every game

Do we just lose every coin toss? Or do we always choose to receive? It’s mind boggling how we never get the ball at half.
Generally speaking the trend is for teams to defer and we want to receive. Was like this last year too.

Our coaches think we have the same offense from last year.

It worked great last year when we got out to a 7-0 lead almost every game.

But the coaches haven’t adjusted that philosophy to take into consideration our offense isn’t scoring on the first drive.

In short. It’s piss poor head coaching. Big surprise I know.

JG has been asked this questions many times and his answer is always the same. If we win the toss we elect to receive every time because....well that is what we have always done.

We have received the ball to start the game 56% of the time under Jason Garrett.

I have long disagreed with the decision to always take the ball first. How many times have we seen the opposition come out after the half & march down the field on us?

When your offense is the best unit you have, you should take the ball first. What makes you think having the ball first in the 2nd half is more important than scoring first or flipping field position to start the game?

If our defense was better than our offense, we’d defer.

Because we are regularly dealing with situations where the offense has a chance to score and get the ball back. And we’re nog exactly lighting it up on opening drives

Romo talked about how Belichick essentially defers every game. 1) the double whammy of ending half and starting half with potential points and 2) on the road half the fans are at the concession at start of 2nd half. You can run your offense with less noise.

Garrett? Dumb *** takes the ball every won coin toss. Smfh

Meh I remember last season, it worked great. We scored most drives.

We like to get some offensive momentum right away...who cares? I’m sure we are not the only team that always wants the ball...I doubt we are even in the minority.

Yeah last year with zeke. 6 weeks without him and we continue the same thing?

The coin flip is a waste of time.

We're taking the ball. They're going to defer.

So why bother with the flip?
