But what's bad is that the spot wouldn't have changed had it been challenged

Steratore actually was smirking when he came up after measuring. They definitely need some kind of levelling device and if we had not got it, we definitely would have challenged the spot. He was clearly over the 40.

The refs would say there isn't enough evidence to mark the ball where it should have been, so we would have turned the ball over on downs
