The ascension of Sean McVey suggests that maybe sometimes highly competent coaching talent begins to show up earlier than we're used to.

Besides that, there's some natural reason for confidence that when one person's job is at-stake and another person's isn't, the decision that the person whose job is at-stake... in this case, Garrett's, and/or Linehan's... is more likely the smart one. All due respect to the fact that, still, we all as fans are entitled to voice our opinion.

True but not with the experience Moore has with Linehan. He's got 5 years in it.

Ok, and how long will Linehan be here? Odds are less time than more. But speculative. More poignant is Moore has limited experience with other coaches, isn't really even an ex-NFL QB due to lack of experience/playing time, and zero time in grade for his job which is the greater point.

So a scrub QB is going to coach DAK? Wow how far can Dak decline next year. Even McDonalds didn't take Moore what does that tell you.
Well a Scrub QB is coaching the Eagles, technically a scrub QB is coaching the Cowboys, I reserve judgement. If being a "successful" QB or long time player makes you qualified the NFL coaching ranks would be filled with former all pros and full time starters. Usually the least talented players cna make very good position coaches because they are familiar with fighting for their "lives" every season when they were a player. They had to study more film than a physically talented star. To tell you the truth I always felt Wilson got a free ride because Romo did his own thing and was already developed by the time he got here and Wilson while good in Dak's rookie year did not prepare him for his second.

You don't think what he has done the last 8 years is experience. You don't have any idea what you are talking about.

What experience does he have as a QB coach? Let me answer for you. ZERO. Seems I do know what I'm talking about and your comprehension is questionable. In fact he has no experience as a coach at any level. That doesn't necessarily mean he will fail but it does mean there are many candidates out there who have coaching experience to bring to the table.

Well that explains why they dragged him along for so long, and it certainly wasn't because of his skills on a football field.

If it makes you feel better, ok. I've been around A LOT of coaches at ALL levels, and I know, compatability is far more important than knowledge. How many coaches or coaching staffs have you been around and spent 90 hours a week with?

Who you or I've been around is not germane or relevant. So you don't get to even try to pull some sort of oblique rank and get my interest or attention.

You guys keep going at this with these intangibles which are dwarfed by the fact you can find someone with the same intangibles who also has the resume to go with it. They've coached grown men at the position they're applying for. What an extraordinary demand?! Imagine wanting someone with real world experience and the intangibles to manage your hopefully franchise QB so you can compete for SBs. Instead we want to hire someone with ZERO experience.

If you're for this then don't consider posting anything negative about Jerry being a rank amateur. Just keep as quiet as a church mouse.

I have no problem with this. Moore is a very smart QB. Just doesnt have the tools to get the job done physically.

Never said I was for it, bit if it's gonna happen why whine like a little girl! The point is, coaches come from all backgrounds. Moore can be successful, why cry about it? Let him work and prove himself. If this works out, don't post anything pro-Jerry.

It's like asking a barista with a month experience to be CEO of Starbucks.
It stinks of nepotism and desperation and an absolute lack if planning.....

Garrett doesn't have anyone else to bring in, he's exhausted his pool of real coaches to pull from so now he's giving his third stringers coaching positions.
