Panthers will interview Norv Turner for OC

Are you kidding me Idgit? He's turned ever QB he's ever had around. He's a QB whisperer. Troy, Rivers, Alex Smith, on and on.
Really? As I said his offense didn't break the top 25 the last 3 years he coached

Bridgewater was playing well before the injury as well..

Jennings when he went to the Vikings was praising Norv. He was saying that he ran so many different options out of the same formations, meaning hardly a case for ‘predictability’ and ‘simplicity’ as a play-caller.

Yet his offense couldn't break the top 25. I guess predictability and simplicity didn't matter....lol
Maybe some simplicity would've worked

Kinda need to be an accurate passer in his system....Cam Newton is not. It's a bad fit. Honestly, I think that the Panthers have seen the best of Cam Newton and it isn't gonna get better. If anything, worse because the hits will add up and he won't be an effective runner.

And that's where JG and company don't know how to coach this offense.
Yet they field a top 10 offense with a rookie 4th rounder and rookie qb, but they don't know how to coach..priceless

Norv lasted one season in Cleveland as their OC and two seasons in Minn in 2014 and 2015. The Vikings offense ranked 27th and 29th. Norv’s day came and went a long time ago.

They were 20th in points scored abd improved to 16th with Norv in Minnesota with Bridgewater who improved both years.

What are you talking about?

If he was so good how come he was only there for two seasons and hasn’t had an NFL job since? He’s been available for the past two seasons.

Well, because he retired mid season in 2016 at 5-2 with Sam Bradford after Teddy got hurt and took a year off. Your acting like he was gone for years..

Wade also took a year off and cane back to basically win a SB in Denver with his defense..

Your wrong... His offense was 16 in scoring..

Retiring midseason is quitting. He never gave a good reason why he walked away. All he would say was that he didn’t think it would work out for him there. He talked about a lot of the challenges they had so it obviously wasn’t going well. You don’t quit mid season and take a year off if things are going well for you.

Yes he did.

But none of that deals with your claim he was done..

That year expectations were high, TB blew out his knee and AP got hurt as well. The last time AP was relevant was the year before rushing for close to 1500 yards.

If there was anybody working with garbage, it was him..

When was the last time Norv had success as an OC? He quit on the Vikings because he thought he was going to get fired and probably would have. He lasted one year in SF as an OC, one year in Cleveland and quit mid season his second year with the Vikings. He’s out of touch with today’s game.

His success as a coordinator came 25 years ago with an offense that had 4 Hall of Famer’s on it. Most of the best OCs out there are younger, innovative coaches. Norv is still trying to live off what he did 25 years ago with the Cowboys. We’ll see how it works out with Carolina.
