News: BTB: It’s a tough day for Cowboys fans to look at the Philadelphia Eagles

I brought this argument up to my uncle since he is a generation older than me. I have never witnessed Dallas lose a Super Bowl. I'm 33 so I was in grade school for the 90s dynasty. I asked him is it still worth making the Super Bowl but losing and he said absolutely. You want to be there. You never know what can happen. We have seen teams win that many gave zero chance. Giants both times against NE. NE the first time around against the Rams. Jets over the Colts. Denver over Green Bay. There might be a small chance but it isn't a 7 game series. Weird stuff can happen in 60 minutes.

It's a loser's mentality to say you'd rather not make the playoffs or the Super Bowl if we are just going to lose. But you can't have a shot if you don't make it.

If the Eagles make the Super Bowl again but lose to the Pats, how do us Dallas fans have a leg to stand on to make fun of them? It looks embarrassing. All we have is our history. Nothing about our present day even comes close to what they have done.

Some of the same people saying they'd rather not make the playoffs if they are just going to lose, are some of the same that chastised people for suggesting that it would be better if we lost out late in the year and got a better draft pick.

They are just reacting to the circumstances of the moment. When we still were playoff eligible, it was poor fandom to suggest we lose and not root for the playoffs. Once we are out and our rival is about to make the SB, suddenly going to the playoffs is useless and meaningless and not very important if you are just going to lose. LOL.

Also, do people not realize the Pats have been winning for how long now with no top draft picks? Steelers, too. You can find good players wherever you are seeded in the draft. It's the front office's job to find them.

SB wins are the name of the game, not NFC Championship banners. I was alive for 4 of the Cowboys 5 SB wins. Philly fans will probably never get to say that. Deep down, they got “little brother syndrome”.

This notion that making 6 conference championships is something to scoff at because you didn't win it all is ridiculous. But again, you guys don't believe this. You use it as a coping mechanism to mask the reality of how mediocre the Cowboys have become.

The team was 13-3 last season and 9-7 this year despite losing our best player for 6 games. Yes, the team has things in needs to improve on like every other team in the NFL. But they aren’t nearly as bad as your constant crying makes it out to be.

It's not going to be too long until the majority of fans view those first 5 Super Bowls the same way Cowboys fans view the Giants & Eagles' NFL Championships.

Once again...why do I and other guys like me care about the "viewpoint" of other team's fans, especially the Eagles? My history of watching the Cowboy's success trumps the recency bias that the media and these never-were teams' fanbases want to project. NEXT...

Your tone suggests that you didn't experience those SB wins with the Cowboys. Nothing wrong with that, but your panties need to be un-bunched. Yep, even to suggest losing that last game against Philly's practice squad was grounds to have your fan card revoked.

Now...........nah, the playoffs and even losing the SB is no different than going winless, really no different at all.

But if nothing matters but winning the SB, then why is Garrett's lone playoff victory treated like its the holy grail by his fan boys? Why do they act like that COTY trophy, and not the Lombardi trophy, is just the greatest thing since sliced bread?
