So by the collective rational on this site, it would be beyond foolish to hire him(again) because he was fired, and all fired coaches are trash, and should never waste their time coaching again. Ever.

I hear Haley is a bit of an arse...not really defending him either way.
But 42 points against the 2nd best defense in the league is pretty good.

That's the most the Steelers had scored all year
That's the most the Jags had given up all year

It is also the most Steelers ever scored at home in a playoff game
And
The most they ever given up at home in a playoff game.

Maybe the DC needs to be fired also...

So if Jerry fires himself, then he should never hire himself.....:lmao:....
Just had to post that....

Scott Linehan is a pretty damn good coordinator and for all the jokes he has been a better head coach than Haley was.

Haley is a good coach also and helped take the steelers to the playoffs a number of times and the cardinals to the Super Bowl.

Garrett on the other hand has about the same accomplishments as a coordinator. The 08 cardinals went to the super bowl though.
It’s funny. The Steeler fans on Twitter have the exact same complaints about Haley that this board has about Linehan and the offensive staff. Uncanny.

Tomlin might have been worried about his own job. Suddenly offensive juggernaut Jacksonville lights up the Steelers. Yet they fire Haley, who's offense set records for production. Made Ben more productive than ever over the last few years. But he's the fall guy?

Who won the game when they played?

Who had the higher quarterback rating in 2016?

If you want to "blame Dak" for this team's woes, you go right ahead.

I'll blame Linehan, the guys who makes talent worse the longer they're exposed to him.

Go for it. Ben actually throws the ball down the field. The Dak of 2016 has not been seen for a good while around here!

Lol Now that was a pretty foolish statement.

Scott has zero playoff success as an OC or a HC and several former players will bash him to this day. Scott was 11-25 .306 as a HC. Haley has playoff success as an OC. Haley was 19-26 .422 as a HC.

Yep. Dak got worse the longer he's worked with Linehan, not better. Just like every quarterback not named Romo has around here.

But for some fans, it's always simply the players' fault and never the coaches.

The same coaches like Scott Linehan who were outright hated by their former players.

Haleys offense requires vertical throws. Dak cant throw past 30 yards. Needs an OC with WC principles

I look forward to more empty backfield and shotgun formations. Hopefully more in the red zone too.

Linehan sucked as a head coach. Worse than Garrett. He was run out of town on a rail and his players hated him. That took work.

What kind of idiot play caller even makes that an option for a young QB? With freaking Elliott!!!

over and over again... I think Haley would at least increase Elliott's receptions.. that's worth it alone! but I also think Haley wouldn't be a complete moron inside the 5. Maybe rein in the young QB a little?

The Steelers offense reads like a pro bowl roster. How anyone who get fired from coaching it is beyond me.

Todd Haley is not a good coach in any aspect. That is why. His players don't seem to like him wherever he goes.
