Matt Patricia? Josh McDaniels? Pat Shurmur? Those are the top names that were available this offseason.

Do we believe Jerry would have went after a Jim Harbaugh or John Gruden?
Jeff Fisher? I doubt Stephen would have let this one happen
Jon Fox? Maybe
Bill Cowher? He would have tried but failed.
Nick Saben? See Bill Cowher above

Maybe this is Jerry biding his time until the right guy comes along

Fans want Garrett fired because he’s the current embodiment of their frustration. They’d be happy until football started and then pick out another object of their frustration—either Dak or the new coach—and we’d be right back where we are after the first loss.

yeah let's keep him, sooner or later all the old and young coaches will retire, then Jason will show the new coaches how to be average.

Fans want Garrett fired because he's a poor coach. He's the cause of their frustration. It's not like fans are just frustrated and they take it out on Garrett. I mean, he does have something to do with causing that frustration. 8 years later and excuses for this guy keep coming.

Meanwhile, folks talk about the process and rebuilding and all the other buzzwords they use to defend Garrett and here we are watching Doug Marrone in his first full year coaching his team in a Championship game, Pederson is in his second year and Zimmer is in his third year and without a true franchise QB. Give this BS a rest already.

Anybody that suggests Jeff Fischer should be forced to write out a 100,000 times Jeff Fischer is nothing more than a 7-9 Head Coach.

And like I always say, there are many reasons why a team fails to meet its goals. Not all of them are related to coaching. This team has actually been competitive during several of the seasons you insist on pretending are rebuilding years.

When you’ve got a defense like Marone or Zimmer or Pederson has, it makes things easier. Not that either of those guys has accomplished much more than Garrett has yet anyway.

You’re not angry about coaching. You’re angry the team hasn’t advance and you think it’s because of the coaching. I’m disappointed the team hasn’t advanced too, but I think the shortcomings have been related to personnel.

There'd be initial euphoria followed by the eventual realization that whomever was hired fared no better but instead of anguishing over clapping, clock mgt, etc, fans would be outraged over a new set of issue(s) while the real problem continues to overshadow & undermine anyone who tries to succeed here

I told an unnamed mod that I would refrain from saying Garrett Sucks! So, can someone help a brother out!!!
