I skipped the last Eagle/Patriot SB and will skip this one also. No joy in watching 2 teams I despise.

The Patriots were called for 1 penalty against the Jaguars. It is the fewest penalties called on one team in a playoff game since the 2011 AFC Championship... when the Patriots were called for 1 penalty in a win over the Ravens.o_O

League is fixed.

Just keep this going....:igglestrophy:

There are 2 positives to the Eagles winning.

1. Pats stay tied with us at 5

2. NFC East becomes the only division where all 4 teams have a Lombardi in the trophy case

I'm sitting this one out. And if this ref's crapp keeps happening to get who they want in there, not sure how long I'll be a fan.

And I've been a Cowboys fan since the late 60's/early 70's.

Yes, PI can go either way. Yes, it's mostly subjective. I get that.

Which makes it even worse that they called it against JAX and not against NE.

Not a conspiracy theorist. Simply a hard core fan who was quite disturbed w/ what I observed.

I hated that the Pats beat the Jags earlier, but it didnt take me long to become a temporary Pats fan for the next two weeks once it was clear Philthy was also goin to the SB......And the silver lining to the Pats getting #6 if they win, is at least then the Stealers could no longer claim the ultimate braggin rights of most Lombardi's to themselves......

Holy crapp!!!

Not suprising, but still shocking nonetheless.

And this on the heels of the other crapp that went on this season. NFL's going to start losing revenue if they don't watch it. I guess they though putting NE back in would help, but I'm thinking it will have the opposite effect, esp on something so blatant.

I do not care at all about the Patriots winning another. They are in the AFC and have never been an impediment to our team's success.

The Eagles winning is a nauseating thought to me. Just as bad, if not worse, than the Giants winning in 2007 or 2011. ANYONE BUT THE GIANTS/EAGLES.

This May be the first Super Bowl I skipped. No good outcome in seein either of these 2 teams win

The perfect outcome is the Eagles going up by 30 points, then the refs make 80 bad calls in a row so the Pats win. The Eagles stay winless in Super Bowls and the average public realizes how fixed NFL refereeing is.

I used to have similar thoughts and then you realize just how far Bill Belichick is willing to go to install discipline and fear into his players...

Remember a few years ago when Jonas Gray was given a surprise start, shocked the league and ran for 200 yards and 4 TDs in his very start, and then was late practice the Friday after, and was benched (to the point where Belichick sent him to the inactive list) and eventually let go?

Can you imagine that scenario ever playing out in Dallas with Jerry and JG? My goodness, they would put a guy like that on a pedestal, half the people here on CZ would be starting threads titled "Pay the man" and the idea that a player would be sent to bench for being late or god forbid have his contract terminated would be absolutely unthinkable.

The Patriots ended up winning the Superbowl that season.

Over time, I've come to stop making BS up like the fix is in for the Patriots and accept the Belichick is just better than every other coach and his teams are more disciplined than every other team.
