Carson Wentz

This just goes to show you how much coaching matters. Goff progresses massively once McVey gets in. Wentz looks like league MVP and Foles ends up league MVP. Meanwhile our qb regresses and looks like a new matt cassell, mark sanchez, kellen moore or weeden. We get to watch Garrett 'experiment' more and ruin more careers

They would be wise to trade him....I am sure they could get a decent pick for him. He has a very reasonable contract next year.

Their wide receiving core + Ertz is highly underrated. Significant edge there with the fading of Bryant, who is no longer an elite player and may not even be a number one WR anymore.

The offensive line is equal to if not better then ours, plus they have a ton of defensive talent although they completely broke down against the Patriots. Their QBs don't generally have to play from behind.

It's not the system for me so much as the talent that they are surrounded with,

Dak had the same exact players around him both seasons. Except our system is designed to where unless we have a dominant bellcow RB, we don't know how to function. Eagles don't have that issue.

Dak has a terrible coaching staff, too. Wentz/Foles don't.

Still, Wentz is the most overrated thing going in the NFL. He's good but he's nowhere near this god like QB so many drool over. He hasn't did anything Dak hasn't did.

We did lose 2 offensive line starters in Free and Leary. But they sucked anyway right?

Wentz ended the season with 33 TDs in a little over 12 games, Brady had 32 TDs in 16 games.

Wentz also had a better QB rating.

lol. So it's all about how many tds a qb throws and nothing else? And Wentz had a completion % of 60%. Brady finished at 66%. And a 102 qb rating.

Your right on QB rating -- I quick glanced and picked up Brady's career QB rating instead of 2017.

I still think it's likely he would have won it, but I agree they were neck and neck. Had Wentz gone over 40 TDs, I suspect it would have cinched it.

Their WR core is jaggy. They are all solid at best but they have a genius calling plays and it makes them execute better.

Again we aren't talking about only tds thrown. Wentz finished with 60.2 completion %. Why does Dak get killed for his accuracy issues, but not Wentz?

WEntz is a second year qb, he’s probably still going to get better. Brady was a 23 td/15 int Guy for a few years before he really became elite.

Took Drew Brees a few years, took Aaron rodgers a few years, took Steve Young many.

Yet Wentz is a System QB after challenging for the MVP in year 2. Yeah okay. Maybe Philly just has 2 really good qbs?
