I remember a lot of people having the same feelings towards our secondary last year. Until we find a decent replacement I have a feeling he would be sorely missed and there would be a lot of moaning around here. I hope we figure something out to keep him.

If the Cowboys could find just 1 true playmaking cover safety , their defensive backfield would be a HUGE improvement from the last half-decade or so...................................

Most likely. I wasn’t thrilled about letting Church walk and just like I wasn’t sold on Dak after his first year, I’m not sold on our rookie secondary yet either. That’s nothing personal against any of them, I just don’t trust most players after only one season.

Secondary will be fine I believe, draft some lb'ers and let Hitchens go to the Colts. Dak is our biggest question mark IMO, but we will know after this upcoming season.

If TreMaine Edmunds,Va Tech is off the board at 19....there are other options beyond Rd 1.

If we draft a LB then I would be “ok” with it. Not thrilled but it would definitely need to be addressed and unless he was a pretty good talent then I think we would feel some negative effects from Hutchins absence for at least a year. I’m not sure Jaylon will be ready to step up to the player we hoped he would be. Hopefully I’m wrong.

Definitely agree on Dak, some seeious questions were raised last season but I’m not giving up on him yet. We’ll see how he does next year.

I'm not surprised at all. I've said all along he's almost as good as Lee. Coaches love him, too. Hope colts don't screw it up for us.

Ugh, tough question. I guess it would be circumstantial. I know that’s kind of a cop out but it would depend on several factors. Tony’s QBR his third year was worse than Daks last year. Remember how many people wanted to give up on him?

I don’t want to make the same mistake with Dak. At this point he’s not great but he was definitely better than any of us expected during his first year. Unlike some people, I do think QB’s can improve their accuracy, mechanics, etc over time.

If he's almost as good as Lee then he needs to be brought back.

It just depends on how they value him. If you think he's a star in this league than you pay him that. If you think he's just a solid rotation guy...you don't pay him that.
