Ok, enough with the games and the dream mocks. CBS finally has their big board up on fan speak. I feel like its better than the fanspeak board I have been using as it takes a lot of players out of the equation. Anyways, here I go

Re-Sign
Martin
Lawerence
LP
Cooper
Dez(signs a new deal to lower his cap hit)

Cuts
Scandrick
Beasely

Restructure
Fred
Tyron

Free Agents

Josh Sitton-Veteran G that this team needs, sign cooper as a back up in case he gets hurt but is still very reliable as long as he stays at G. This also means we can pick up a G later in the draft, which I didn't do.

Tre Boston-Safety that this team sorely needs. Shoring up the middle of the defense on all 3 fronts is a necessity this season

19: R1P19
DL VITA VEA
WASHINGTON
Finally our big body at the 1 who can stop teams destroying us on 3rd and long on draw plays. This guy is a freak and I think he can be a 3 down player.

50: R2P18
LB LEIGHTON VANDER ESCH
BOISE ST.
Makes up for the loss of hitch, and I love this kids play

81: R3P17
TE DALLAS GOEDERT
S. DAK. ST.
Witten replacement. Gronk 2.0. This pick may not help this year, but next season when he finally hangs them up. This guy is going to come in and dominate.

118: R4P16
WR EQUANIMEOUS ST. BROWN
NOTRE DAME
Future number 1. Has all of the tools, and has his head on straight. Don't know if he will be here this late, but I took what the board gave me

138: R4P36
OT ALEX CAPPA
HUMBOLDT STATE
Insurance for Tyron. Kid is a stud and can step in as a swing and turn into an eventual starter.

139: R4P37
RB RASHAAD PENNY
SAN DIEGO ST
A guy that can come in and punish defenders just as much as Zeke so we don't slow down on our body blows during the game.

174: R5P35
QB KYLE LAULETTA
RICHMOND
Camp competition for Dak

176: R5P37
LB NICK DELUCA
Ill say it again. Tackling machine.

196: R6P19
CB KEVIN TOLIVER II
LSU
Depth

236: R7P18
EDGE JOJO WICKER
ARIZONA ST.
Depth

Not trying to be a jerk but keep using the simulator if you want it to be realistic? You seem like you know plenty about the prospects, why rely on this simulator? Goedert, St Brown and Penny all could go almost 50 picks higher than where you have them.

Because I am at work when I do these sims and trying to do this all by memory and thinking about who can go before us is a lot to do on a work computer lol.

Good Lord. You don't put in a big bodied DT on third and long.

Cappa late 4th is fantasy. As is the idea that he's an LT. He may develop into one but coming from a tiny school, he's projecting as a G.

Good Lord. You don't put in a big bodied DT on third and long.
You do if hes athletic enough to push the pocket and command 2 people on him at all times. You think one guy is going to stop this guy from getting in the backfield? He hasn't even ran a 40 yet and you are just saying Nope cant do it.

Breaking it into sections:
Our own: Agreed except I keep Beasley at least one more year. 2 years ago he lead us in receptions. I have all off-season to figure out how to use his quickness and hands.
*You probably wisely ignored Irving and any drama mentioning him brings a post.

Free Agency: Sitton has been a 725 snap a year guy for a couple seasons and makes about 6M a year. I don't see Dallas going that route tbh.
BUT Sitton is a good player and definite OG upgrade. I just don't know if the team can handle another 5M+ per year guy along the OL.
Tre Boston is about to get paid and Spotrac suggests 8.2M per. Again I don't see us going that route. For that kind of money we could get Earl Thomas. Boston to me has a lot of Byron Jones to his game really.

Draft: I completely agree with using a simulator. It's all guesses and guys will be there we thought would be gone and vice versa. If you see a guy like Nick Chubb at 19 that's fantasy... Dallas GOEDERT in round 3 is not imho.
That out of the way I'm not a fan. Vea is a steal at 19 but Dallas hasn't valued 1T that highly and it'd be a big departure.
The easy money in rd 2 is OG or WR.
I'm not a fan of EQ. He just wasn't very productive and didn't play fast. Has all the tools tho and in rd 4 sure. I just hope we can hit WR earlier and find a more explosive player.

All in all tho a very realistic look at things imho.

Ultimately about 31 other NFL Teams value Nose Tackles types more than us.
We are likely wrong here but Dallas has finished 8th and 1st the last 2 years versus the run with also JAGs at 1T.
So it seems a huge leap to suggest Vea is available at 19 at all if he's considered a 3 down guy by other teams and a stretch for us to grab him there as opposed to the 20 or so positions we value more.

So you cut O Scan to save 1.4M on the cap? Doesn't make any sense. Either does cutting Beasley.

You do if hes athletic enough to push the pocket and command 2 people on him at all times. You think one guy is going to stop this guy from getting in the backfield? He hasn't even ran a 40 yet and you are just saying Nope cant do it.

Yeah, he really gets after the QB. 3.5 sacks last year. Wow.

Realistic"?? Beasley being cut?? I would cut Dez before Beasley, also I have seen some scouts give Goedert a first round grade and you have him in the third, also pretty likely Vea will be gone. I'm sorry this doesn't classify as realistic to me.

just banged out a mock on fanspeak...using NFLDraftScout big board:
Rd 1-Marcus Davenport,DE-Utsa
Rd 2-Billy Price,OG-Ohio St
Rd 3-DJ Moore,WR-Maryland
Rd 4-Ian Thomas,TE-Indiana
Rd 4-Rashaan Gaulden,CB/S-Tennessee
Rd 4-Fred Warner,LB-Byu
Rd 5-Justin Jones,DT-NC St
Rd 5-Zachary Crabtree,OT-Oklahoma St
Rd 6-Darrel Williams,RB-Lsu
Rd 7-Jack Cichy,LB-Wisconsin

2.5 playing out of position and against actual NFL talent. But hey 3.5 with Rutgers and Montana on your schedule - that better, right?
Do you seriously just follow my mocks to trash every idea I have? It seems that way. Just don't open them if you hate them so much its really that simple my friend. You haven't said one positive thing about any mock ive done. So just don't say anything next time. Its getting old

Your mocks are pretty unrealistic.

I'm providing commentary so you can improve.
