All this disgusting love fest for barkley reminds me of a former penn state RB. It was 1991 and the name was Blair Thomas. Guy was supposed to be the 2nd coming of Jim Brown. He had everything, and where did he get drafted? 2nd overall...And by Who a NY team. What did he run in the 40? 4.40

And 4.7 Emmitt went 15 spots later lol

I remember that very well.

Mover overrated RB prospect to me in years. Averaged less than 5.5 YPC in college is seriously alarming. Workout Warrior. Won't live up to his top 5 selection. Zeke will be twice the pro.

Dumb argument.

Emmitt averaged 5.6 YPC in college and just 4.2 in the pros. "BuH, buh, that's different!" Right?

all the more reason Dallas defense better get legit top 5ish
all this ridiculous wr talent, qb talent and now Barkley could very possibly be going to Giants
Giants and Eagles both already have outstanding defense
the nfce is going to be such a struggle

on the bright side if you can win the nfce you should be ready for anything especially once Brady and Rodgers go away (hopefully)

Browns be crazy if they don't take the RB first, then the QB with the 4th pick. He will not be there at 4. If it dont go down like that, then nothing has changed for that organization, even with a new GM.

What is your point exactly? 5.5 YPC in college is average and 4.2 in the pros is below average...what made Emmit great was his longevity. Are you trying to say a 4.2 YPC is some amazing achievement or something? Lmao

Actually 5.5 on that Florida team is pretty amazing. Remember this isn’t the Florida with Steve spurrier. Florida sucked back then.

And I don’t have time to type all the ways you are wrong about what made Emmitt Smith great. Longevity?? Hahahaha Just longevity? Man **** of here with that bs

No you twit. You're trying to base your judgement of a individual running back based off of YPC, which is stupid. It doesn't take into account QB play, offensive line play, et cetera.

What are you failing to compute?

NO way this guy reminds me of AP..IMO hes not just a combine hero with his numbers.I watched him run in college as well, he passes all the eye test..hes got the numbers and all the workout skills..theres very good odds he will be a star in the NFL..The Browns are in a unique situation, once again with two top 1st round picks, this would be a guy they can reach on at 1 and get a Qb, or best defender at 4..If im the browns Barkely worth taking at 1 given their sitatuion,,that and i do NOT want to giants to take him and i believe they will if hes there..no way given any chance he will be a beast , do we need him in our division..Go to the AFC Barkley TY :))

Watched this kid play a lot and the most remarkable attribute is his balance. I've seen larger DL and LB's hit him squarely and he'd just bounce off, regain his balance and take off and he can get up to speed fast. If the Giants do take him, Marinelli better double down on those wrapping up tackling drills because this kid is a monster in his lower body. We also better do something about the middle of that DL and the LB's.

I don't want the Giants to get him but I like the idea of the re-emergence of the RB that Gurley, Elliott and Fournette have brought back in the draft. Be just swell for the NFL to get back to real football instead of that Arena football aberration.

Don't measure heart in yardage! Sanders had more YPC in the NFL, half the heart of Emmitt. Maybe half the offensive line too. Neither the heart nor the offensive line is debateable

And people still get way too hung up on 40 yard dash times.

And you have other can't miss prospects from Penn State too including Curtis Enis and Kijana Carter. Nothing is guaranteed or truly can't miss.

I love grind it out in your face we have a bohunkey kicking running back football And I think we have the best one again Some are faster in the 40 but none are faster in the 1st 10 yards and that is where it counts

I had never seen someone get hit in mid-air while hurdling and still stick the landing. Barkley's coordination and balance is on another planet.
