I wasn't aware he had such and addictive personality, nor was I aware how obsessed he was with George's wife. I knew Layla was about her, and that he ended up with her at one point, but I had no idea just how much of his music and life revolved around her.

...and yes, that's a great song.

If you get the chance, watch "Eight Days a Week", Ron Howard's doc about the touring years of The Beatles. l read the interview with Lennon about the last tour they made and how they eventually grew apart and that was one of the contributing factors to the breakup.
