And he’s on contract for only one season.

Browns have more picks than they know what to do with so they were likely trying to deal some of them out in exchange for future picks so it works for them.

It’s like every trade you see, no matter how minor, is some further proof or the rosters incompetence. I wouldn’t want them trading away a future Jourdan Lewis for an average tackle on a one year deal.

Recently have we made a good trade that actually benefited our team ? I don't see the ability to negotiate a trade like that in our team vocabulary.

We would of most likely overpaid. Maybe that's why we don't make many trades or be involved in Free Agency, because we suck and overpay in those areas. So we rather overpay for our own players.

While I admit it isn’t good logic, Shelton is one of the reasons I have no interest in Vea. I remember everyone calling Shelton one of the safest picks in the draft when Cleveland took him.

Might have made too much sense. Better to create more dead cap dollars, be cheap in FA, draft red shirts in the second round, and have Garrett rule it all.

I would call Cleveland and check on Johnson and Coleman. Johnson would be a good backup for Zeke and Coleman would provide speed and WR depth, IMO.

It sounds like they may take a future pick too since they likely believe they have more than enough picks this year.

Actually, unless we lose Irving, Maliek Collins will likely be our starting 1-tech. Irving at the 3 and Collins at the 1 was part of our best lineup last year.

IDK about bust..... CLE had a top 10 rated RunD last year and Shelton was Top20 Interior Run DL last year by PFF

Irrelevant to belichick. If Shelton keeps OL off of Donte Hightower and he has a great season then it's an upgrade for the Pats. If he commands a true double team( and I don't watch Cleveland to know if he does) then stats don't mean anything.. ..

CLE switched to a 43 and Shelton wasn't a great fit..... he is a stout 34 run defender but doesn't fit Marinelli's scheme....... who does?????
