Keep Morris or draft a RB to back Zeke.

Spend the pick on a more important position.

How about we throw some more passes to Zeke instead?

Right

No, Zeke is the pass catching back we need. He needs to be used like Bell, Gurley, and David Johnson. The offense is worse when he's off the field. There is no need for a change of pace pace or 3rd down passing back. The only reason Zeke should be off the field is because he is completely gassed.

I just don't get the fans that feel backup RB is not important. Especially with Zeke one drunken mistake away from being banned for life. This portion of the fanbase bashes the other side anytime backup RB is mentioned.

All this calling to sign an Alfred Morris or McFadden type is getting old. The NFL is not structured to have one back touch the ball 30 times anymore. You need solid backups at that position. The recent trend for smart playoff teams (Eagles, Patriots, Vikings, Saints) is to have multiple weapons out of the backfield. Backs who have different strengths. Kamara/ Ingram or New England with Lewis, Burkhead, White. Eagles with Blount, Clement and Ajayi.

You guys have got to stop thinking because Zeke was a top 5 pick that we don't need a solid backup. Getting a guy like McKinnon or Kamara would bring a different dynamic to this offense. Yes Zeke has the skills and needs to be utilized more out of the backfield. But giving the defense different looks and different formations is what this team needs. I'm tired of seeing old and slow Alfred Morris or Darren McFadden out there. Give me a young fresh pass catcher.

I'd love to have McKinnon here but I just don't see the front office doing it.
He's probably out of their price range. Might command starter money. But we should be able to find guys like that in the draft. Change of pace pass catching backs. There is a huge need there.

We already have an excellent pass catching back. Too bad the coaches here are too stupid to utilize it.

Anything but a draft pick/alfred Morris level back up seems ridiculous to me.

The entire point of building that line was that you could take a decent rb and have a great running game.

Fine so we decide to take a rb with the #4 overall pick to kill a house fly with a sledgehammer. Well then swing away. Alfred Morris at 5 yards a clip was not our issue. But if you invest that much then throw him at least 4 balls a game and not just as a safety valve. My opinion anyway

How about we keep the roster spot and just use the 2 backs we have. Zeke is obviously good, a 3 down back. But Smith showed he can come in and play all 3 downs as well. We do not need a guy on the bench, it's easy enough to go grab someone off the street incase Jerry irritates roger or injury.

This is the kind of pass catching back I’d like to see Dallas sign. He would be a good target for Dak.

100%. Sign McKinnon and sign the Atlanta speedy atlanta receiver. Cut Dez. Add more speed to this team to go with Zeke.

Zeke cant play every down. Rod Smith has nowhere near the explosion or pass catching skills of a guy like McKinnon, Kamara, or even McCaffrey. That's the type of guy we need.

I definitely think they have to get the RBs more involved in the passing game and that includes Zeke, but a Mckinnon type of back would be a nice change of pace. If the price is right, they should bring him in.
