I know it's been pretty doom and gloom around here (ive been a culprit myself), so I thought I'd spread some enthusiasm, even if it's just fluff.

I am currently in Durango, Colorado. Which is incredible by the way, you should all visit this paradise. Here on vacation and to propose to my GF (she said yes btw).

There is one thing, however that immediately stood out to me today while on the slopes--Cowboys jerseys everywhere! Sean Lee. Jaylon Smith. Emmit Smith. Dez. All the usual suspects were widely represented.

Maybe this is part of the problem where the FO accepts mediocrity because the team still has such a following, but I was impressed and taken aback by it.

That's all, back to the doom and gloom of free agency.

Congratulations! Many happy and well wishes for you both!
My wife lived in Durango for 6 months while working under a grant as a geo-physicist. She's in love with the place and it was the only city we considered moving away from El Paso for.

I've never been there, myself.

Congrats.. I know what you mean. I live in Florida and there are several Cowboys bumper stickers and tags and hats and jerseys everywhere. And Florida has 3 teams. Lol. Never see any jags jerseys.

Was signing Prime Time our last big Free Agent....Cowboys off seasons really do suck ....especially when you know who will be returning as HC. I mean, ZERO optimism. I don't even start counting the days until the draft anymore....just pathetic. For every flunky FA we sign, we lose 2 -3 starters....how many years until all this cap space finally arrives?????? Can you tell that I'm less than enthused??????

There's a lot more negativity with the turd bowl crew here than there is in the general public. I wear some sort of Cowboys insignia almost every day and I get 100 times more positive than negative from fellow Cowboys fans.

Keep in mind that there's a contingent around here that their sole purpose is to whine and complain. When the Boys are winning they are nowhere to be found. Alexander himself has admitted he isn't around because he's "enjoying the win". Translation: I have no room to be a whiny ***** today so my will to be here is null and void.

That's why they don't have to take winning all that seriously, they know that no matter how much we suck, we morons are going to keep coming back.

Truth.

The wrong one though... I'm sure most all of us have been on both sides of that fence.
Oh yeah... that can make everything worse. I didn’t want to be a buzzkill for the OP though.

Luckily, I got the right one.

Gorgeous little place. Colorado, in general, is a really pretty state. I'd love to move there but it's gotten stupid expensive over the last ten or so years.

I've actually been shocked how cheap it is here.

We went to Whitefish Montana year before last and Vancouver BC last year and both we stupid expensive. We had dinner and a couple beers last night and its was like $25 before tip.

Food, groceries, etc. aren't bad. Start looking for a place to live and it gets a little pricey (I guess that depends on what you are making and what you pay now). Compared to what I pay for my place, now, and a place in say Castle Rock or Boulder, Denver, etc, and it's a nope for me. California residents would be in hog heaven if they could find the balls to leave the ******** they currently live in.

Yeah... that was kind of a big deal fro us too: the prices.
I can get a gorgeous house, up in the Franklin mountains, here for $175K.
That same house, over there, up in some mountains would be a milly, or more.
