Frank Avruch, aka Bozo the Clown, passed away at the age of 90. Emmet Kelly passed away in 1979.

You know what this means, don't you?

Booger Jones is the last surviving clown. When he passes, they will bury him in Booger's Big Top in a 3' deep casket to accommodate the feet.

Bozo made me laugh, Emmet made me laugh, Booger makes me laugh. The difference is the first two did it intentionally.

Such a famous clown that someone who's foolish is often called a "Bozo".....Now that's fame!

To be honest...Did not even know he was still alive.

Remember watching him as a youngster.

One of the first 2 cable channels we had in my area was Superstation WTBS (may have been called something else way back when) out of Atlanta They would play some crazy japanese kids show where this little japanese boy had a huge Robot and they would go on adventures, don't remember the name of that one. . The other channel was WGN out of Chicago...Bozo show was on WGN. Loved it as young kid.

I didn't know he was alive either and had forgotten his real name but the thing I remembered the most about him was that he was a no BS guy and that wasn't an act. He loved kids and did a lot of good for them. And even people with Coulrophobia could handle Bozo without meds or shock therapy.

That's it... Wow forgot how cheesy that looked

The show I watched as a kid was this....Johnny Sokko and His Flying Robot.
Japanese boy with a watch that controlled a huge flying robot. Awesome show.

At least we still have Krusty.
