Not saying I agree or disagree with the idea yet but I think the powers that be want to see a much greater emphasis on deeper routes this season. Our offense has become stagnant, predictable,... far too compact because we arent stretching the field like we need to be. We just arent stretching the field enuff and its hamstringing our offense including the running game. This is why I think Ridley is the sure fire pick if he is there. By backing off that defense with some real speed on the field it should open up the running game for a real feast. Can only help Dez, Beasely, Witten and the rest as well. This is why I also think we sign Flemming as well,...as in the next day or so. That move is a MUST! He takes over at Right tackle and Collins moves back to left guard. Cant open up the offense if you dont have the time.

Just worried we are screwing around too long with the MLB position on defense. Right now we dont have one,.. least not one thats Legit. Gotta get on the horn to Bowman pronto. Team him up with Lee again . No MLB= No defense. Gotta get on that soon and quit screwing around.

LOL. Dont think he will even see the field very much. Not even sure he makes the final roster really. Think he is more in competition with Switzer. Whoever loses is a goner.

Yeah I re read the article I read earlier on in the week. I misunderstood, he is a burner they just were commenting on that they thought he would of ran better at the combine.

Have you ever seen him burn someone that is in bump and run? Yea yea we see his soft azz running through a zone with a full head of steam. I think he beat Tavares McFadden off the line. The 4.7 corner. Ridley has never shown ability to beat press man. Same tactic dbs use on amari cooper (a superior, yet similar receiver)
 
Not so sure if Dez will be on the team if we sign Hurns.. big if. But i find it odd they have tried twice now to sign a player who plays his spot.
 
Hay, glad you brought up protection cause i recall plays where #4 was running for his life, cause protection broke down coupled wit his WRs running vertical routes an never turning around.

I get wanting to get a deep threat like Harper was.

But as much heart and emotion that Dez has... He is not the player that the playmaker was.
And this is not a rip to be anti Dak lime so many are... But he is not an Aikman like QB.

You can not run this offense like they did in the 90s when you are missing the pieces you had in the 90s

Take what you have, change it to the strength of what you have and go from there. It can be good even if it may never be as good as it was in the 90's...it could actually be better in other ways. But don't try to keep forcing g some square pegs in round holes just because you are to stubborn to make some changes to the strength of the players you have for now.

Good to see you here Hayseed.
 
More than one way to stretch the field. We don't have deep speed but we have quickness. Utilize Beasley and Switzer and stretch them out horizontally. Spread them out gash with the run and take enough deep shots to keep the defense honest. If you can avoid being predictable you will be harder to defend.
 
Thinking hard enough to think you know what this front office is doing is bad for your health. Should be a Surgeon General warning.
