I would faint. This dude would literally change everything about this defense. He would free up everything for Dlaw and Irving.

No LB, Safety, or Guard could do more for this team than this dude.

Vea at 19 and then maybe come back later with a pass rush end prospect like that Fitts kid from Utah in the 4th and IMO, you'd have done well adding to the DL.

Next offseason will be battle of the DE's. Do you keep Irving or Dlaw? I see no way we can keep both. I like your thought of keep adding DE's and possibly Taco develops this season. If his ceiling is Greg Ellis that's a pretty darn good ceiling. Not elite but really good.

I agree. He would make life on EVERYONE easier. LBs especially. We didn't go to his pro-day but are having him in for a visit. So that is a little confusing.

My bet is they know everything they need to know. Plus, it could be a smokescreen.

What can you actually learn though on a 345lb DT at a pro day?

I get how pro days can help skill type players, but what's their to learn about a massive DT?

Although it would have been nice to check out Pettis at WR.

If we do Vea at 19 we probably are handcuffed to get a linebacker at 50...in my opinion.

If we get Vea at 19, I probably won't see who we draft at 19 because I will have fainted from disbelief.

Another way of looking at it is if Vea drops all the way to 19.....why? 18 teams don't value him highly, so we should?
If I saw the VA Tech LB drop to 17, I'd be trying to move up two spots.

That said, I don't see either player dropping into the teens.

To totally steal from somebody(?) the linebackers do have to hit the right gap with any tackle we take.

LOL

Its a good thing we didnt draft Aaron Rodgers with one of our firsts in 2005, since 23 other teams passed on him...

Neither player worked out at the UW Pro Day. I guess it's possible that Jerry could have checked out how they looked in the shower.

"Let's start with a roll call from the University of Washington Pro Day, held Saturday morning at the Dempsey Indoor Facility.

Present: Scouts, general managers and coaches from nearly two dozen NFL teams, including Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider.

Also present: Current and former University of Washington football players, some spectating and others participating in the drills and workouts in front of league personnel. Notable names among those players were Ezekiel Turner, Will Dissly, Coleman Shelton, Andrew Kirkland, Keishawn Bierria, Azeem Victor and Lavon Coleman.

Absent: Vita Vea and Dante Pettis, UW's top two draft prospects, who were physically in attendance but did not participate in any workouts or drills."

Interesting on Pettis. Didn't know he didn't work out. THanks.
