Jets are 2-3 years away from competing maybe longer if they can't find a QB.

I just cant get used to NFL receivers wearing numbers that aren't in the 80s. Yeah, I know its been like 20 years since they started letting them wear numbers in the teens, but it still doesn't look right to me. :(

It actually goes back much further than that. I don't recall a lot of them, but some I do recall are Lance Alworth (wore #19 in the 1960's and 70's), and Bob Hayes (#22 in 60's & 70's), Harold Carmichael (#17 in 70's and 80's), Paul Wrfield (#42 I think - 60's and 70's) and Cliff Branch (#21 in the 70's). I assume there were others who I may not remember because they were less prominent players.

This true, but for the bulk of my youth--with only a few exceptions--anyone who caught the ball on offense (other than a RB) wore a number in the 80s. It still doesn't look entirely right. And I can't get used to the new fangled helmets and facemasks either. CHANGE IS BAD!!!!! GRRRR!!!

My barber told me this today. I absolutely love it! I already have lots of love and respect for this guy, class act and very nice tribute. Let’s hope he honors those 17 every weekend in the end zone but even if he doesn’t just the fact that he thought of this is very cool.

Who wouldn't want to play for the awesome rad cowboys!?! They have the dakster, and zeke and thangs, and all of that other good stuff and thangs.
