Witten insulted by Dez' comments?

Who knows how Dak and Dez actually interacted behind the scenes, but at least publically Dak was always very supportive and complimentary of Dez. Dez is only hurting himself by throwing people under the bus. And, of course, since he didn't single out anyone in particular, just the captans, he is also throwing revered players like Witten and Lee under the bus. Even fans who think Witten should retire, or that Lee's health is too spotty recognize the leadership and example of those guys.
Dak sent Dez a personal text the day his father died and told him anything he needed he was there, he was also the first teammate to reach out. Also, the first in the huddle to run up to Dez against Pittsburgh and hug him. Also the first one in the locker room to embrace him after getting the game ball in the same game. Dak is not the culprit here. Garrett as I said above probably told Dez that other people were to blame so he didn't have to take the blame. Its his m.o and has been since he got here.

But should he even be a starting TE at this point?
He still is in the top 1/2 of the league as a starter..stats wise.
But the legit question is if we would be want a more dynamic guy.

It sounds like he's going way out of his to help groom the Gathers, but maybe the young kid will never be the guy.
I realize they want him as kind of a player coach because his work habits and total team contributions are so high, but I agree that they need to look to upgrade the position.

Dude stop, I hate the decision too, but Dez isn’t gone because he said something about the offense. We don’t even know if it was Garrett. What we do know is Stephen Jones made his position known, just as he did with T.O
Not the point of my post. My point was Garrett is most likely the one who told Dez it was the captains to avoid telling the truth, something he has done since he got here. lol.

Show me from the OP where Witten said he was insulted.
It doesn't. Did you see the "?" I ended the post with? I'm as confused about this take as I assume the poster I responded to is.

Doubt that too. I don’t think Dez was thinking straight because even when he said Garrett guys he said not the players but coaches, he was trying hard not to name anyone. I think it has been Linehan and Stephen all along. Fisher even hinted Linehan had the ear of the front office and was gaining more power.

If you agree Witten doesn't indicate he is insulted, then why are talking about "if he is?" and about him possibly having a guilty conscience?

Agreed.

I would also add that this organization would be a bigger mess than I think it already is if they let a 2nd year QB have a significant role in big personnel decisions like this and I say that as a Dak and Dez fan.

Whatever you think of Dez, his comments probablycostjim some money. Maybe a lot of money.

Not all locker rooms are weak, he'll land on a team and this wont hurt him. Cowboys locker room culture is soft always has been and will be under JG.

Well since the thread title is an assumption I thought I would play along.

Dear Dez,

Here's what I've learn from being a Big City Crisis Negotiator for the past 20+ years......"If what you're about to say, is going to make yourself feel better.....it's best left unsaid."

So what you are saying is that the locker
room should control Dez, instead of Dez not acting like a complete nut case?

Trashing a house you don't own isn't a crime? Ok.
He was sued by a State senator for trashing the house.

According to google & myself sued means institute legal proceedings against (a person or institution), typically for redress. According to google & myself redress means remedy or set right (an undesirable or unfair situation).

So being sued does NOT make someone a criminal. Sorry & Thanks:thumbup:

TO already said this and repeated it in his last interview on the matter.

Him, Crayton, WIlliams and Sherman went to Garrett and had a CLOSED door meeting about the offense and the news was leaked basically immediately.

I know, I gave JG the benefit of the doubt the first time, since Romo and Witten were fairly young and they did have tight bond. But there is no Romo and the script is almost identical to the TO situation.

What im saying is that a strong culture takes care of things in the locker room we have a soft country club atmosphere in Dallas. Dez wouldnt be a problem in NE, pitts, or Baltimore. The players keep players in line.
