Preseason snaps will be somewhat limited for the starting QB, as they always are, so Dak won't lose the job in preseason, but if Dak continued to struggle in the regular season, and Rush had lit it up in preseason, sure they would think about a change.

It's not remotely the same as your example. The Cowboys were 8-1 in the regular season with Dak on pace to break rookie passing records before Romo was even healthy enough to be activated. In no way does playing well in preseason games against backup defenses compare to that.

Not saying he is 2016 or 2017 version, but Romo just became a starter in his 2nd or 3rd year..let alone he didn't come into his prime self until a year or two after that. When I first read your thread title I was coming in to throw it at ya.....

I was a believer in Dak that season. Yup, I supported him. Risen was the only one who saw right through him
