I really think we go defense in round 1

We really need a starting caliber LB and can’t miss on the pick. He has to be stout against the run and good enough in coverage to not be a liability. We just honestly need more than one LB because we have NO depth right now. The guys we have outside of 1.5 players (Lee, Smith) not many people want to see on the field for long.

Then we need a starting caliber WR. We need one that catches with his hands, runs good routes and it wouldn’t hurt if he could make a play or two on his own. We could use another speed guy, too. Terrance Williams ain’t it and he’s the reason the offense struggled last year, in my opinion. He, not Dez, has lost a step and if we are going to try to run an offense similar to the one from the dynasty days we need a true outside threat to stretch the field.

Williams was once that guy. He hasn’t been that since 2015. That’s not Romo or Dak’s fault. Dude is missing his top gear and he needs to be replaced. Re-signing him for continuity’s sake was a big mistake. They should have let him walk before last season. Cutting Dez a year early was short-sighted because Williams should be cut this year, too.

We need two guys right now. If we get Ridley (or some other stud) and Noah Brown turns out to be a beast then our WR corps won’t be the worst in the division this year. But Brown being good sort of cancels out Hurns. I still don’t get why he’s in Dallas. He’s not Dez and can’t replace him.

I think we should finish the def rebuild but I hope you guise are thinking straight..This FO thinks that offense is where the money is spent and a good offense is a good defense..

THEIR philosophy has been to play ball control offense, and keep the other teams defense on the field..Lower TOP for your defense, and keep them fresh.

LAST year the FO blew the guard position because they wanted to justify the reach on green, further they signed FAs that were worthless and wound up cutting them.. Last year was a personnel failure by Stephen..

HOW about a shot of realism!

Yes, lbr is a high need, so is one tech, so that thr lbrs will be free to flow to the ball, a stud Fs to roam the middle would be nice, And none of it will be worth a damn if we dont put a solid guard, to secure the point in the zone, and handle the backside pass protection..

THROW out your allusions of Bpa Boiz.Team position need is high, Lbr, Gd,Dt, wr Are the biggest needs..

You need a plug and play gd..and in my opinion a stud lbr.If you can find a 1tech at 3-4 duet..A wr at 4 Duet, Just dont ignore the GD..or no matter who ya take on D, this team headed for 8-8 or less..

If You trade back up you blow Your third pick..You can trade down in the first for another second and Take the guard later in the first round, while starting your defense rebuild in the second with two picks there..That should secure a lbr and a1 tech, Then take a FS third...That blows all up im.sure.lol

With the latest news on Irving, a 3tech just got more likely. Maybe Vea, and move Collins back to 3Tech.

I’d expect some depth to be added in the LB corps one way or another. Getting better players to rotate on the Dline would be a nice step in the right direction too. The secondary seems to be set already.

Finding a LG is a must. I really think WR is that high of a priority but we’ll see. I think the new approach will be passing yards via committee with no true #1.

Finding a capable TE to play behind Witten before he hangs it up is a must imo. Call it collateral in case Rico continues to not be able to get on the field.

Marrinelli had the #8 ranked defense last season with a team full of rookie CBs and Jeff Heath as one of his safeties. He has not been given much to work with.

#8 in yards allowed might’ve had something to do with opposing teams having short fields because the offense sputtered mid season. The more specific stats for the defense aren’t that great.

A smart team in our position goes defense. There’s no offensive player that will be at 19 that is a tier better than the few defenders in that area.

There are a number of ways that Dallas might go in round one, that's for sure, although we certainly did our homework at WR. To be sure, defensive help might easily command first round attention for us, along with several other strong considerations. There are no shortage of possibilities that might well be considered obvious needs. We all know what they are, I'm pretty sure of that. LB, WR, LG, S, DT and OT head the list to me.

If Vea is there at 19 how can they pass on him? I am on the fence though because I like Moore and Vander Esch a lot. Exact type of players they need at key positions. It will be interesting.
The fact that we let HItchens walk and it’s been said that Jaylon is better as OLB and we have done zero to replace a starter in a position of no depth makes me believe they are eyeing a LB.

While we need a #1 WR this draft doesn’t have a can’t miss WR and we at least have serviceable bodies to run out on the field at that position.

This draft is loaded with 2nd round talent slot WRs. I wonder if with already having Beasley and drafting a slot WR last year if we would spend a premium pick on a WR that is best fit in the slot.

I think Garrett really believes that the offense centered around Zeke can do the job. The defense needs to improve. We will either go LB or DL with the first pick unless the safety falls which is highly unlikely. I just think all this talk about WR is a smoke screen.
I seriously hope they go defense with first pick but the fact they have brought in several WRs tells me this is no smoke screen.
I would love to see the Cowboys draft board. I want to know the order they rate Vita Vea, LVE, Evans, Ridley, Moore.

I don’t think they have a choice. It has to be linebacker or defensive tackle.
