Possible ET trade: legit or dead?

Since we're only couple days from the draft, I'm curious if you think the ET trade has legs or Cowboys have likely moved on. Personally, I have no problem with it as long we do not give 2018 1st, 2nd or 3rd round pick. I'd consider a conditional 2018 4th and 2019 conditional 2nd.

I would give our 2018 second, or a conditional 2019 first (if he is an all-pro), 2019 second (pro bowl), 2019 third (neither all-pro or pro bowl).

Big fan of deals pegged to performance.

Skater reported the other day on NFLN that the Cowboys may wait until he is a FA next year.

Do not give up more than a 4th for him. Don't blink. We will get him for zero compensation next year. You are only giving up the 4th to make it happen a year earlier. It needs to be the comp pick. Not the earlier 4th.

Oh my goodness, someone has been hitting the sauce early today. The Cowboys would be absolutely idiotic to do that.

I'm glad you're not in charge.
Why?

Frankly, why?

I don't think that is an unreasonable trade. To get hit him, it'll cost at least our 2nd this year..... the value of a 2nd this year is roughly a 1st next year... if ET performed at an all-pro level, the best in the league, we're a playoff team.

A pro-bowl he'll get unless he completely tanks, which means we won... as we pay a 2019 2nd instead of a 2018 2nd...

I actually think it is a very reasonable trade, for us, and them. Why do you disagree so vehemently?

This is still very much alive. We may not know the how until tomorrow during the draft. Buckle your seat belts folks! It's going to be a bumpy ride!

If Seattle doesn’t believe 29yo Earl Thomas and his contract are worth keeping, why would we wanna give up a 2nd and a 4th in order to take him and his contract on?

Btw...anyone remember when we signed 26yo, former pro-bowler FA Brandon Carr and gave him a @$50mil deal, thinking he was gonna anchor our secondary for years? How’d that one work out?
