update on WRs showing in the first round of mock drafts
4/4/18 11:30 am

Out of most recent version of the 96 post combine mocks so far,
Here is the tally (times selected somewhere in the 1st round):

95--Calvin Ridley___(99%)
51--Courtland Sutton___(53%)
38--DJ Moore___(40%)
34--Christian Kirk___(35%)
10--James Washington___(10%)
3--DJ Chark___(3%)
2--E. St Brown___(2%)
1-Michael Gallup___(1%)
0--Marcell Ateman___(0%)
0--Anthony Miller___(0%)

DJ Moore continues to inch his way up the charts, passing Christian Kirk. Could he make it to 50% before draft day?

update on WRs showing up in the first round of mock drafts
4/13/18 9:45 am

Out of most recent version of the 115 post combine mocks so far,
Here is the tally (times selected somewhere in the 1st round):

114--Calvin Ridley___(99%)
58--Courtland Sutton___(50%)
58--DJ Moore___(50%)
38--Christian Kirk___(33%)
10--James Washington___(9%)
4--DJ Chark___(3%)
2--E. St Brown___(2%)
1-Michael Gallup___(1%)
0--Marcell Ateman___(0%)
0--Anthony Miller___(0%)

Ridley is basically 100%
DJ Moore is now tied with Sutton, and is all the way up to 50% with one week to go.

this is interesting.
I think it'll be Ridley.
I had settled on DaRon Payne but if the skins go vea then the Chargers go Payne....Ravens could go Ridley but I think they might go Evans from Alabama...or Wynn from Georgia.

At this point probably greater chance they go Moore if Ridley and the defensive studs off the board.

I prefer Ridley but am 100% ok with DJ Moore.

Dallas loves highly rated Sparq athletes. No way they pick Calvin Ridley, who ranked #26 out of 26 qualifers at the combine. (8th percentile). If they take Ridley, I will puke.

Sparq ratings updated after pro days. Ridley is now #90 of 126. 6.8 percentile.

Vertical and long jump were very sub par.

He was a bit stunned that people cared so much. Said he suppossed hecouldve trained with a track guy and radically upped his score. Said he was also disappointed in his 4.43 forty.

Sounded naive. Youd think by now after seeing Hayward -Bey and others go so early based on underwear stuff that he'd know GMs want to see it.
:muttley:

Lower Sparq guys like JerryRice would be a 4th rounder...and Antonio Brown (who he seems somewhat similar too) actually WAS a 6th rounder.

The Sparq stuff can get pretty silly at times

Its how Byron Jones (who may still be ok) gets taken instead 1st team ALl Pro Landon Collins

Here's update on WRs showing up in the first round of mock drafts
4/20/18 9:45 am

Out of most recent versions of the 117 post combine mocks so far,
Here is the tally (# times selected somewhere in the 1st round):

110--Calvin Ridley___(93%)
67--DJ Moore___(57%)
61--Courtland Sutton___(52%)
31--Christian Kirk___(26%)
7--James Washington___(6%)
5--DJ Chark___(4%)
1-Michael Gallup___(1%)
1--E. St Brown___(1%)
0--Marcell Ateman___(0%)
0--Anthony Miller___(0%)

DJ Moore continues to be a big riser with 57% now pegging him to go in the first round.
Sutton is over 50% now as well.
A very tiny chink in Ridley's armor, as 7 out of 118 mocks have him not in the first. Seems small, but it was only 0 or 1 for a long time.

What are the results of the mocks from April?
Except for 6 that were the last week of march, all of these mock are from April, and most are even after April 13.

I may put one last one of these out next Wednesday or Thurs, right before the draft.
There'll be a flood of updates in the next 4-5 days. For sure all the main guys will have one final mock.
I suspect the trend continues.

I'm hating the idea of Sutton at #19. Just because he looks like Dez doesn't mean that he will produce like Dez (leave it to JJ to create a bigger need at a position just before the draft, lol).

Personally I'd prefer a LB or S and would be willing to spend 50 to move up to get an elite one. If Jerry and Stephen have to get a WR at 19, I'd prefer Moore or Ridley to Sutton. Both are complete receivers and Moore can play some at flanker.

Last week of March? I thought you’d been doing this since March 4th or so.

I'm not sure I get what you're asking.

Let me explain
Out of 118 mocks, 112 have been updated after April 1 and most after April 13.
However, there is a tiny handful that have not been updated since late March.
I may drop those if they don't update again before the draft

I'll do a full update on either Wednesday evening or Thursday around noon

Out of 121 mocks that I'm tracking, all but a dozen or so have been updated in the last 14 days and only 8 of them slightly beyond that--those 8 would be deleted if not updated before the last posting

In the 113 currently eligible mock drafts,
Ridley was the 1st WR taken in whopping 91 of them...75 of those went before pick 19
Moore was the 1st taken in 13 mocks
Sutton was 1st taken 8 mocks
Kirk was taken 1st in one mock.

So if Dallas is taking a WR, the odds (only according to these mocks) are high that Moore and Sutton are available...not Ridley.

I'm waiting for a couple of more updates (Kiper, McShay, and few others) but I guess out of 120 mocks a few really won't matter.

I'll post the final tally tomorrow around noon central

Fish is saying the Cowboys favor Moore to Ridley

Could end up being him

I'd prefer, all else equal, that we take a WR later. But I wouldn't throw things if it was Moore.:muttley:
Per Fish's narrative Vea followed by LVE are their targets. Moore is right. He has also been saying they would prefer to get one Day 2
