It seems we have a lot of interest in where this crop of WRs will drafted.

This is a thread that will track the main WRs that have any chance at all to go in Round 1, paying attention to where post-NFL Combine mock drafts have them placed.

We can update this as we get closer to the draft.

Here are the WRs that at least once have already been mocked in the 1st round, post combine by various draft websites.

Calvin Ridley
Christian Kirk
Courtland Sutton
James Washington
DJ Moore
Marcell Ateman
Anthony Miller
Equanimeous St Brown

it wouldn't totally surprise me if someone gets wild and eventually mocks one of these guys:

Michael Gallup
Dante Pettis
DJ Cahrk

I found 11 post combine mocks so far. Almost all of the NFL.com and ESPN updated mocks are still to come

Anyway, out of the 11 so far, here is the tally:

11--Calvin Ridley
7--Courtland Sutton
6--Christian Kirk
2--DJ Moore
2--James Washington
1--Marcell Ateman
1--Anthony Miller
1--Equanimeous St Brown

I saw the lone St Brown mock at about noon today and now can't relocate it. May have to drop that if I can't find the thing. reach anyway...lol

I would not be surprised if Sutton is the first WR taken and goes to Chicago at 8th overall. He has more #1 WR traits then the other receivers and he showed he wasn't just some big and slow red zone target. He could be an Alshon Jeffery Clone.

At least 2 of the mocks had him going there already, so you seem to be on to something....or at least others are thinking it's possible.

I preface this by admitting I do not follow college football at all.

With that being said, at this point is there a consensus on if WR is a good idea for us at 19?

Or will we need to trade up to get a WR worthwhile?

Or, are none of them worth 19 and maybe a trade down is in store?

I personally would not be salty about taking a WR at 19, assuming we don't "force" the pick and he's BPA out of all our positions of need. Gnome sayin?

Chicago is desperate for WR help for their young QB. Not sure if their is a WR in free agency that will offer better value. I think Sammy Watkins is headlining the free agent WR Class and he has not been as productive as i thought he would. Gonna cost a mint to sign him too.

Calvin Ridley has been given the top WR title by default but that may change. Hes definitely going be in the top 3 WRs drafted. Alot of analysis think he will go to Baltimore at 16th overall if hes still on the board due to their love of Bama players.

Just looking at that length of that list tells me there will be plenty of talent in rounds 2 and 3.
Ridley, for now, is the consensus top guy. People comp him as Reggie Wayne. Who knows. The comps are often silly this time of year.

I've read a few scouts think it's a very deep class but there may not be a single WR this year that's really worth a top15 pick. But that's all opinion, I guess.

Sutton seems beastly and there and bunch of guys with skills and/or speed.

We should all be crossing our fingers and hoping these guys get over valued and at least 2 go before 19. 3 would be amazing for us. Worst case scenario is that the league realizes this is a draft deep with #2 type WR’s and none go before 19.

I am 100% in on Calvin Ridley at 19........ no one else in the 1st

Good, that pushes good players down.

by all means take a WR.....take 2.....then 1 of 2 things happen.

1.we take Roquon Smith,LB-Georgia or TreMaine Edmunds,LB-Va Tech to replace Hitch.

-or-

2.we find out what stephen said was a smoke screen and take Bama DT DaRon Payne.

either way....we win.

COWBOYS!!!!!

There's been 11 post combine mocks already? It ended today.
They were all after yesterday but some not all the way through all drills today.
They all claim post-combine, but not completely....could have short changed maybe 1 or 2 guys a few spots up or down that participated today.
Fine for WRs--who wrapped up yesterday-- unless a db moves way up and knocks someone out.

The main mocks don't really start flowing in until later, as you know

Not a whole lot has changed for me.

Ridley is still the best of the group with a logjam of 2nd/3rd rounder behind him.

I foresee ESB and Sutton being drafted in the 1st due to them being the only dudes with # traits and Moore and Miller as early 2nds.

He's a Roy Wi11iams clone.

Which WRs will be around at 50 for us? And who would you take?
