Romo: Dez won't hurt the locker room

i

Tony Romo says ex-teammate Dez Bryant "won't hurt the locker room in any possible way," for whoever signs the former Cowboys wide receiver.

He's fine in the locker room, it's the meeting rooms he has a problem in. He just needs to make sure he has his helmet on when he head butts another player though.

Keep in mind that wherever he lands, he won't have Jerry as the owner. I think Dez is the last of the breed that really had Jerry's ear. Jerry invested a lot in Dez, not just the contract but mentor's, security, etc. He won't have that cushion to fall back on in a new town. He will have to walk the line and just play ball or he won't last anywhere.

Dez isn't in to TO cancer mold. He's a cancer but not that type of cancer. TO divided a locker room like no one else, most likely intentionally.

Dez probably never intended to divide anything. He loved the Cowboys. I really believe that.

But the Dez form of cancer was a lot quieter and slower but just as deadly. He wouldn't take the responsibility of running proper routes and getting open. Instead he insisted what he was doing was "enough" and put it all on his WB to make up for his deficiencies.

Moreover if the QB didn't do that he pouted, checked out of games or distracted his QB. So a QB can either placate Dez by forcing him the ball, or play with a player who has totally checked out for that game.

A QB can manage that by getting him the ball earky (if the player is worth it) but it's just way too much of an issue to deal with if that player isn't worth the headache (dominant).

Dez still thinks he is dominant. He's not. He is in denial. That's part of the reason that the Cowboys cut bait with him. Dez wasn't going to fix anything because Dez wouldn't admit that anything was wrong with him.

It was going to be a much bigger problem going into this season because Dez was feeling the footsteps of "The Turk" and was going to need to put the blame on someone else for that. That was clearly going to be Dak and the Coaches.

The team made the right decision, even if Dez gets a pay raise (not happening) and has his best year ever (probably not happening either). I have no doubt that Dez will be motivated in a way he hasn't been since he was a rookie. The problem he has is everyone with half a brain has seen the book on Dez and seen how much of a problem he can be. That's probably going to limit his options.

Why did that question even come up? It's his game time meltdowns that everyone could see.

I got to lend creedance to what #9 espoused,,, yet,,, former #88's antics and animated attitude I observed in that video clip are Illuminatingly illustrative of his true persona& mental make up( or mental break up,,,o_O) ,,,therefore, this being a quandary of unwanted dilemma,,,I choose simply to envoke the 'could care less clause' readily available in the gun rack of my onboard casing-linero_O

Jerry coddled him like nobody's business. Which in turn created friction with the coaching. I doubt other franchises would give Dez the blanket and binky Dallas did.

Everything I read about him from the show that came out says otherwise.

No he won’t hurt the locker room, it’s the freaking receivers room he is disruptive in. They are suppose to be game planing while he is *****ing and whining.

To be truthful I don’t know how much of that he does but what I did see a very lot of, was Doolie constantly saying “Just run the route” in every episode!
