The 1 guy who beat Conner Williams for a sack

That's a very good/fair question, that I can't answer honestly.

He absolutely was developing towards the end of the season and played much better. Good point, I might be a little too hard on him after his improvement.

Hopefully he keeps improving.

No. You read the stats as they were.
You can't go back and look now who applied the pressure at the time.
That defensive player may have been having a great year at the time.

No If, Could Would, Should.

My understanding is this guy is a shorter armed guy, probably gonna move from tackle to LG for us, right? Sort of what we did with Zack Martin? Or do people think he competes with Collins for the RT spot and the other plays guard?

For whatever it's worth.
Williams arm length: 33"
Collins arm length: 33.25"
Martin arm length: 32.875"

i'm not saying he isn't going to be good or i'm not excited about the pick, just don't judge that comment about 1 sack at face value and think he can walk right in and be an all pro RT playing at a higher level than lael last year.....

Lighten up, Francis

Dallas announced him as a guard at the draft, so they may have already revealed their intentions. Either way this line got a lot better this offseason.

Wow he only gave up one sack at LT? Move him to RT and Collins back to LG and let's work. Our run game was better with the more powerful Collins at LG too

But but but but but La’el was so awesome at RT.

After all my research on our draft picks, Armstrong is the one who I've done the biggest 180 on.

I went from thinking "who?? why not draft a TE or safety there?!" to "wow, the Cowboys got an absolute steal with Armstrong, he may legitimately be a second round talent."

Collins was up and down as a rookie at G, but to call him awful is hyperbole. He was shaky in pass pro at times, but absolutely destroyed people in the run game. We saw last year how little our coaches do to help OL too. His issues in pass pro probably could have been helped with, well, help. When he got out wide on the tosses he rag dolled guys. I'm a firm believer still that he's a better G than T, but I think Williams is too.

I keep seeing quotes on how Connor is not strong enough, concern? To me natural strength is always better than weight room strength.

Against Maryland I could have sworn he was torched... all...game...long!

Collins allowed 49 pressures last season. Tied for 6th most amongst all tackles.

As I said, he wasnt "very good" at RT, but he was better than he was at LG.

If Witten does indeed retire, and with Dez gone, La'el will now be the most overpaid player on the roster. Hopefully he turns it around considering he's still young.

Courius if you know how many were in the first half of the season and how many in the 2nd half.
Seemed like he improved by years end as he was playing a new position.
