Time for a new nucleus of leadership

I hear a lot of questions of if there is enough leadership and/or where or who on this team leadership can come from. What is leadership in football?

I see production as leadership. I see making that differential play to sway the momentum as leadership. Competitive fire as leadership. Tireless work ethic studying the game and developing individual game talent as leadership. I see making everyone around you better as leadership.

Here's the nucleus of players on this team that I believe exude these 5 qualities:

Dak Prescott
Ezekiel Elliott
Tyron Smith
Travis Frederick
Zack Martin
Cole Beasley

Demarcus Lawrence
Sean Lee

**Players I can see stepping up into these leadership roles and increasing their positional impact on the team:

Jaylon Smith
Leighton Vander Esch
Chidobe Awuzie
Jourdan Lewis
Xavier Woods
Taco Charlton
Maliek Collins
La'el Collins
Connor Williams

***** David Irving has immense talent and impact when on the field but he just seems to get into trouble off the field and is not so known for his work ethic. Here is 1 player I am sure we all would love to see become more consistent and an example of leadership for this team.

There's lots of competition at WR this season and leadership can be derived from competition.

I'm more than happy allowing the Coordinators taking the reigns for the offense and defense...but the players just don't give up for Jason Garrett!

His personal issues and partying hurt the team last year but you know exactly who this team wants to get the ball too. It's Zeke.

Furthermore, his passion for the game and work ethic are undeniable.

I think Zeke has responded well and has learned a lot from last season. Many HOF players in the media have said as such. That we will see a new Zeke as a person and as good if not better football player.

All levels of the coaching staff have to have leadership. There is no doubt in any of the players on this current roster who is the head coach and who has the authority in this locker room. You just saw Dez Bryant go out the door and whether it was a good or bad move that was the coach asking for that exit.

Is Jason Garrett the best coach in the league who has the greatest leadership. I don't think so but I wouldn't say Garrett is not a leader. This team is going to go to the wire playing for the guy. If not he'll hold them accountable and that's what fans have always questioned. Will he hold players accountable?

Well he does and now we're apparently too corporate. Lol!

The leadership I am talking about in my OP is player leadership. Maybe I should have been more specific.

They are trying to make Dak the face of the franchise, so therefore he is the one that needs to step up and take the leadership role. He has a lot to prove, and this is his year to do it.
A lot of pressure, but if anyone shown he can handle it, it seems to be Dak.

True leaders will rise on this team they dont have to be appointed.
