News: Dallas Cowboys: Shoe comfort blamed for rash of foot injuries

You served honorably for your country. But I can't forgive you for working for the postal company, that lame, money-wasting monopoly.
Carry on, then.
You ruffians!
Be serious or off with you!

Don't worry, Gimme...I never went Postal.

Well, usually I give my opinions and then, people like you take issue with them.

In this case, my opinion is shoes being the reason for broken feet is comical. It continues with the long line of issues that make this franchise seem like it is a circus.

I guess it is good, they figured it out. That is was a problem to begin with is mind boggling. I get YOU have an issue with that opinion, but you're just going to have to deal with it.

It's a real world...be yourself, but if you cross lines...be prepared as well.

That was discussion...and as such, appreciated. I'm not an *******.

This rash of very specific foot injuries has to be a real concern for the team’s medical staff. And according to one longtime Cowboys insider, they believe the shoes are to blame. “Trainers will be very cautious with [Maliek Collins’] rehab, meaning the projected starting defensive tackle’s return might not be until midway through camp, if that,” wrote Mickey Spagnola of DallasCowboys.com. “Why this sudden rash of fractured fifth metatarsals team wide? Answer was: Shoe comfort is taking precedence over suitable support.”

I don't recall these sorts of issues during the Landry or Jimmy days.

The NFL mandated new helmets...you saying that was a joke on fans and naivete? Now don't switch to butt sore and say what does that have to do with shoes?
Has there been a rash of foot injuries across the NFL that I haven't heard about.

Didn't hear about mental defects and accumulative brain dead players back then also...wake up.

Oh, and have a nice day now.

Start asking the shoe manufacturers and see where that takes you...as if you don't understand, ace.

Didn't have to deal with strangers acting like wise guys for no reason (while hiding behind their computer) back then also.

Oh, and have a nice day as well.

My doors were open back then, how about YOURS now?

And a phrase from Adam Clayton Powell, was: '****, *******, I think I can...I can.'

Want to discuss it?

Oh, and if one was actually stupid enough to imply myself hiding behind a computer...go home, get your gun, and don't forget your way back...I won't move.

Not really. You take the same tough guy approach with anyone who has a different opinion. There's no reason for it, other than something else obviously lacking in your life.

Have fun with that. There are better people to talk to here.

No, I disapprove of arrogance and insult...good bye.

Never happens when topic is talked...

I commented on the topic and your response was to arrogantly insult me. Funny thing is, this isn't the first such exchange you've had in this thread.

But I'm sure it's everyone else - it couldn't possibly be anything you're doing.

You added nothing but schtick...as to actual topic, I'll do all the work between you and myself, again:

Examining the IR: Foot, ankle injuries lead to questions about shoes
There were 171 NFL players on IR before Week 4, compared to 99 on Oct. 1, 2012. Concussions driving the number up? Not really, but foot injures are rising, raising concern over shoe choices.

Now do a little of the actual work to understand...read!

Okayyyyy and how is that pertinent to this topic.
You don't have a clue...and still don't approach development on topic.

That was transformation of board acceptability and stereotypes.

Collins ranked second on the team with 5.0 sacks. In fact, as a rookie, he was one of the NFL’s fastest players from snap to sack according to Next Gen Stats.

...Make no mistake. These types of injuries cost players valuable time and possibly millions of dollars. For the Dallas Cowboys, not having their best players on the field can cost the team in the standings. And, in turn, they can kill playoff berths and a title runs. Repeated injuries across the roster means both the team and the players need to step up, educate and implement the necessary changes to minimize any future issues.

why am I not surprised Cowboy players were choosing comfort over substance.
